I think Ian and Nicky's playing or sound best fit the Stones. That said Chuck for sure has had the most responsibility within the band.

QuoteDoomandGloom QuoteGRNRBITW QuoteDoomandGloom This Whipping Post is a perfect example. The drummers are cooking but there's no fire in the guitars. Noodle soup, there's little to grab onto in their solos. Can you imagine a kid wanting to work this out note for note? On The Fillmore album you can sing those solos. The days of Betts/Haynes/Woody managed to capture it better than this. Dere

Quoteits good to be anywhere If Kid Rock could get $600 a ticket he would do it all day long. The reality is $20 a ticket is the price point where Kid Rock won't have to cancel a bunch of shows or play to half empty sheds/arenas this summer.. I think that about sums it up.

Quotebv Chuck Leavell is a great man and a great musician. I count him as the "6th Stone" just like Ian Stewart. I am one of the few who have seen Chuck many hundred times on stage and off stage and in rehearsals on and off the record over the years, all over the world. He is always nice and hard working. It would be hard to replace him, and I am so glad he is available for us on yet an

Chuck is a great musician! One of the best things Chuck has done for the Stones was share info on his hair implants with Keith. Otherwise Keith would have been a slap head around 2002.

QuoteRollingFreak Quotestonehearted Yes, I remember the story when it happened--but, you see, he seems to have killed his mother. I understand. But from what I've read, its because he was bi-polar and acted totally erratically and it really wasn't as much in his control. From what I've read, he feels understandably very upset about the incident, but mainly because it was semi out of his control.

Quotegotdablouse Quote1cdog Well he's been in the band "The Rolling Stones" touring and in the studio for how long - 20 years? If he's in the band and the band is called The Rolling Stones then I guess that makes him a Rolling Stone. Hey Chuck said it so it must be true. Chuck joined the Stones on stage in 1982 in Europe for the "Still Life" tour. He was also on UC. So

Absolute wrong drummer for the Stones. Baker was a great drummer back in the day. Supposedly hard to get along with though in a band setting. As for the Cream reunion shows - I have to disagree with a previous poster. Baker was a weak link and it showed in the live setting. The cd's and dvd's that were released were compilations from the multiple shows and that format covers the mistakes
