QuoteTurner it was only harmless fun, why did you move away? Joined the military...got out, went to school, earned my doctorate, found a position at University in Texas. Don't teach anymore, but stayed in Texas because I met my wife, established roots and my life here. Why do you stay in the New York/New Jersey area? .....probably for the same reasons I mentioned huh?

QuoteNoCode0680 I saw them at Texas Motor Speedway, I was 17 and it was my first Stones show. So I might not be able to give an unbiased opinion. I was blown away by the spectacle of the whole thing, I had never been to a concert like that before. All the gimmicky stuff totally worked on me, and I was in awe of seeing these living legends in person, and I had pretty good 12th row seats. I tho

My favourite song, of all time. The Rolling Stones or not. A great song of yearning for your love. I travel quite a bit for my job and I play this every time I'm headed back nome to my wife "I am just living to be lying by your side" captures just the way I feel.

QuoteBJPortugal I am a big fan of The Doors. I think that the best record that they ever made was Strange Days... Everyone talks about LA Woman or the debut album, but Strange Days had a magic that the others don't have(IMO). The Soft Parade was great too.. but it lacks in a few songs...I have the complete remixed albums in 5.1... which is great! I only wish that ABCKO would release a similar pro

QuoteNoCode0680 Quoterattler2004 Why did they wait so long to bust this one out on the Stage? We could ask the same question about many songs. CYHMK for instance, recorded on Sticky Fingers but didn't make its live debut until the ABB tour right? True but the reasons I'd imagine Jagger would give about CYHMK...Wouldn't translate in an arena, different guitarist (Talyor shines on CYHMK), Fall

QuoteSlimharpo Armstrong was an above average guy who had metastatic cancer and beat it working his ass off riding his bike. He ran into a culture where performance enhancers were the norm and felt that leveled the playing field. I predict they will be as big as a Cars reunion. You know what? It is clear you don't like them. Cool, fine, can't change your mind. Quoteatip I've read before that Jack Black is not a Stones' fan. He's a huge Who fan, and apparently a huge Zep fan. BTW, if you've ever watched his movie, School of Rock, you'll notice that The Stones are never mentioned. What does that tell you? Yeah, how olds is he, late 30s early to mid 40s, suburban kid...in the early 80s, what kind of music were the Stones playing then?...oh ye

Quotedoster Saw them at Richfield Coliseum (now defunct), with Etta James opening. Can't remember much about the music, just Mick in that cherry picker. It was a fun night. I went to one of these shows as well, Etta was booed, looking back it was a crappy thing to do to a legend. I don't remember much about it, other than it was a moderately warm autumn night. The stage was very brightl

When I think of all of the crap bootlegs I have paid buttloads for over the years! Sure, there about 1000 other shows I would rather have, but this sounds great and is a very different, fun show. Warhorses? Only TD, BS, and JJF. The rest are either new or not too oft

Too bad the best Stones song released in the past 15 years or so (not including the Exile & Some Girls bonus discs) is on the Ian Stewart CD. Not holding out much hope for the rip-off of two new songs on yet another half baked greatest hits collection. A collection by the way with a ridiculous name awful cover. Really an ape with a Stones tounge? The Zeppelin (if you can really call
