QuoteErik_Snow I think KRW_CO shared the evening show taken from Joe Maloney's archieve, 3-4 years ago. It was not recorded by Maloney, but taken from a 2nd gen copy; sounded very distant, but still an upgrade from previous version. Not comparable with the better sounding Boston show. Have it stored on a different computer, so I can't double check if it really was KRW_CO sharing it or not I agree

QuoteHis Majesty This is a tape recording from one day, not from various days. "Brian is in Paris celebrating his birthday" implies it's on or very close to 28th February 1968. In fact if you listen very closely, Mick says "it's overdue two weeks," so I put the date at 3/13/68. I have a version of these rehearsals from tape which is not so processed as this Teague Raw versi

I don't think much can be done to improve it by remastering it. Haven't heard Godfather's efforts. It is what it is, as they say. I did substitute the first 1:46 of Brown Sugar from "The Lost Bern Show" for my listening version. I think it's superior up to that point. Once this "new" recording settles down it's better.

Thinning my collection. Magic Dwarf was a subsidiary of Swingin' Pig, used for lower sound quality releases. These were legally purchased in the late '80s before copyright laws were updated. Brian We Miss You live in Vienna, Austria April 2, 1967. Record mint, cover Mint-. Light purple vinyl. $30. The Riot Show/Berlin 1965 live Sep. 15, 1965 plus one song live Hamburg Sep 13, 1965. Re

Good summary of the '71 tour recordings. Too bad more haven't surfaced. Just curious why you want "Let It Rock" from a bootleg source when it's available officially, in stereo no less.

Only one seeder at the moment but you may want to try Here is yet another version of the Stones' first concert with Mick Taylor, recorded in London's Hyde Park on July 5, 1969, bootlegged many times over. This is an upgrade, using sources which are not widely available, and is the most complete version available. In order of appearance, it uses 1) audience recording from "Hyde Park Jul

QuoteThe Menace of Mayfair So, the show posted here is the evening show, yeah? Yes. It's the 2nd show. Per Nico's "Complete Works" web site, the show started at 7:30 PM. Again per Nico, the first (afternoon) show started at 3 PM and there is no circulating tape.

Great idea! Not easy, the two sources don't run at the same speed. The other source speeds up slightly as the concert goes on. I assume the taper's batteries were running down and the recorder slowed down, so it runs fast on playback.

As I recall, VGP EQ'ed the official Got Live EP tracks so they sound a little different. Otherwise they are the same as the official EP. All appear to be different from the new Charlie is My Darling Deluxe Edition but I'm not 100% sure.

Looking forward to an honest opinion of the sound. I agree that the sound is theoretically fixable. Has anyone ever read or seen any evidence this show was filmed? I thought I saw a clip once years ago in a theater, before they showed Hendrix at the Isle of Wight. Not sure and can't recall any details.

There are two different audience recordings, this one plus the version on the Gold Standard CD "In the Park." Both of them suffer from having the vocals way too loud. I guess that's the way the PA was that day; probably depended on your location. If you can get past the vocal imbalance, and that's a pretty big "if," they are both listenable. See for the various boots.

As far as I know, the HungerCity version I mentioned above has every available recording of the Stones' set, except the ~1970 French radio broadcast, which is horrible quality.

Quotestonesnow There She Goes Again as rehearsed at Andy Warhol's Factory and the recorded studio version This is probably my favorite VU song. Coincidentally, its main riff is a total ripoff (homage?) to the Stones' "Hitch Hike" from Out of Our Heads.:

It looks like you should be able to turn off the microphone using Device Settings in the recording program. You can also try right clicking the speaker icon in the system tray, selecting Recording Devices, and Set Default to what you want (it may not be an option but worth a try).

Mick redid at least some of his vocals after the fact. There are outtakes of I Got the Blues where his voice cracks and they don't finish the song. The broadcast version is fantastic. Not sure which other songs he redid if any.

Freezer liked the fact that he made some unique recordings, and liked to claim that anyone who had dubs of his recordings had very poor copies. He rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. I'm sure he's the only person who ever joined Dime just to argue with people, without up or downloading a single byte.

Quoteteagueraw Quotetjkrol Thanks. Could you provide additional info on the source used? Original source was Singer's Original SODD 015 who run too slow (3 to 4 seconds on a song). I would like to note that SODD ripped off the watchit version of Hyde Park which is available here: .

I can also confirm, from memory only, that the Nov. 20 show did not happen. It was specifically mentioned as cancelled in one of my 1969 Rolling Stone magazines which I have since sold. The Stones didn't want to go back to LA again, as I recall. Notice that Nico Zentgraf's generally-accurate "Complete Works" website does not list the show; I sent him a scan of the article. I'm pre
