Although thinking about it - if they played an arrangement of GOOMC closer to the original ie a drum intro of a few bars followed by Keith's guitar and the rest joining in - it might have a little more impact. The way they're playing it now - it just kind of starts quite unceremoniously. Having said that - it's just great to see them playing anything again. Roll on Hyde Park!

Quote999 QuoteRoll73 I just never understand why he doesn't play a real piano?! Always a keyboard simulation of one. He doesn't play a real piano because that's his employer's request. Mick & Keith are to blame for this terrible choice, not Chuck... Not blaming Chuck. It is, as you say, a terrible choice. I understand that a Keyboard gives more flexibility for other kinds of sounds - but

When I saw them open with it at the o2 I felt it lacked the punch that an opener by the Stones should have. Still great of course but think they could have chosen better. Brown Sugar maybe? Personally for me nothing lives up to the opener at my first Stones gig (The drum crescendo of Continental Drift followed by Start me up - at Wembley on the Urban Jungle tour).

QuoteHis Majesty QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteHis Majesty He must be remembering the Blind Faith Hyde Park concert or if he wasn't at that he's making it all up. He was playing with Jeff Beck Group At the New York Pop Festival on Randalls Island, New York on 5th July. The final Jeff Beck Group With Stweart/Wood gig was on 26th July 1969. Do we have footage from that gig, and is there a

QuoteDenny Look, people ask him questions and he answers them. Then they make it the headline, or the most prominent part of the article. It's not really "bleating", or complaining. I'm sure he is genuinely happy with his life, but every single time he speaks to the media, they'll ask him about the "leaving the Stones" topic. So he comes across as though he's going on about it

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteRoll73 How can you say who's better between Ronnie and Mick? Completely different styles. First off Taylor rarely, if ever plays slide in open tuning so that requires a more precise execution as you generally stick to playing single strings. Where as Ronnie always plays slide in open G or D/E which probably lends itself to his generally looser style anyway. They'

Looking forward to this. Always strikes me though that there's this underlying desperation on the part of CSN (particularly C and N) in relation to Neil Young. Almost like he's the Sun that they all need to revolve around in order to achieve their full potential. Of course they're each great in their own right but I'm sure they'd drop whatever they were doing in a heartbeat if they got a call fro

Is that what you'd say to Mick if he asked you what you thought of the choir on YCAGWYW after a concert you attended? Doubt it. You'd be all like, "Yeh it was great Mick - I loved it".

I had goosebumps.

Yeh great to see him back where he belongs. Kind of a cruel irony that there's a sign in the background saying 'rental/ dispatch'. Pretty much sums up his part in this latest Stones campaign.
