QuoteNoCode0680 QuoteCome On Really? That's one of my favorite albums. And just from a commercial standpoint it was successful and well received, although so was Rumors I guess. But it has several hits like "What's The Frequency Kenneth", "Star 69", "Crush With Eyeliner", "Bang And Blame" (one of my all-time favorite songs), and "Strange Curre

Quoterockshow2112 Oh man, what a truly brilliant idea! Only because it's a month. I know the video game nerds might go a little nuts, but hey! It's only a month. lol BUT.....you gotta start a campaign on Facebook. That's where everyone will see! Craigslist, twitter, wherever you can think of. That's alot of time to get a bunch of people to really think about it. And you are 100% correct,

Sure it's about the MONEY but nobody would "buy" the FBI action if it wasn't under the guise of justice... Anyway, we're not even considered: we're just a bunch of hippies...

What is music and how should it be valued? Isn't music not some thing "more" than money? I like to think so and as long as the artists think so as well, you can ask your self "who's stealing from who?" BTW: besides GigaSize, MediaFire is a good alternative as well (perhaps even better!).

QuoteLaughingsam Rubycatgirl -- It's great to hear you like it. I'm always a little worried about remixing other people's efforts because it's like usurping their work, but I saw in the thread to your original post that you wouldn't mind me having a go at it. [...] On the contrary, I feel kinda flattered that you could use my "remaster"! I really can not remember what I did to the or

QuoteLaughingsam Thanks for feedback. The following show was just added to the index: 2003-02-18 Enmore Theatre, Sydney, Australia. Remix of Rubycatgirl's post, "Midnight At The Enmore" (LGJ-30218 FLAC Format That is SO cool! I'm really anxious to hear the results! Quotestonesmuziekfan Thanks for the artworks, but aren't they made smaller to fit in this topic? Maybe you can send the "originals" by e-mail? I've been trading with a guy called Luiz from Brasil, note, Luiz with a "z", not Luis with an "s". Maybe this is the same guy you're talking about ????? Sure, I can also upload the originals on sendspace (probably tomorr

Quotestonesmuziekfan Artworks are high resolution to my opinium. The artwork included indeed looks high-res. Thought I'd only uploaded low-res preview files... The info on the back still said recorded by Luis (rocksoff!) - think he was from Mexico (?) - but this is definitely a different source. Anyway, when I made this artwork 5 years ago I also fabricated a back-inside and 2 cd-prints:

Can somebody re-up the Vegas show? I have been at the show and thought it was an outstanding performance. Of course it was emotionally charged because of Mick's dad passing away and I guess we were all touched deeply seeing the band totally supporting Mick: 'Not a dry eye in the house' (thought that'll be a great title at the time). To me it was one of those shows that wasn't taken for granted by

QuoteLaughingsam Many thanks for the excellent research and remastering and all the hard work you poured into this project. It sounds fantastic and it's great to have the lineage for each track. Thanks Sam, seems already a long time ago (I'm so doing other things) but it was fun to do! Perhaps a future project might be to re-collect all the old radio and tv-shows. Cheers, RCG

Thanks guys! Since I lost my suspicion of declicking (well, at least when it is done by Silkcut!), I really enjoy this serie of classic bootlegs. Growing up in the eighties, most of these titles I had only heard of and in my mind they have always remained the core of the Rolling Stones bootleg canon. It's great to be able now to go back to the roots and listen to them once again, all fresh an

QuoteLaughingsam It's funny to hear you say that because a great deal of what these DSPs offer is analog-modeled processing. They try to replicate analog sound digitally. But you're right, they do offer digital processing that provides linear phase precision that's very elusive (if unattainable) on analog equipment. Sounds pretty good. And this is all in iZotope? Think I will like this program

Thank you Sam for being so thorough and elaborate in your explanation. It really is an ingenious procedure. The wobble I heard was, I believe, after LSTNT (but I'm not able to check it right now). And indeed, you need to see What you are actually hearing Cheers, Joyce

QuoteErik_Snow Maybe there's no info about it on the box, I don't know about that, but midnrambler is correct. These LPs have been released as single LPs as well....I only have the "Rape Of The Vaults" one; and the tracklisting matches what you refer to as "Gravestones" in your upload Thanks for solving this mystery for me!

Quotemidnrambler "It Should Be You" on the Black Box / Rape Of The Vault is the version by George Bean. The Stones version wasn't available until a few yeast ago! Very interesting on 'It Should Be You' 1. I had my doubts if it really was Mick singing but I didn't dare to make that call! The 'youtube' version from Britney confirms this (the 'Black Album' version runs at a different

It took me a few weeks but I gladly share my summer 'while-it-was-raining' project: The 'Black Album' - Recollected & Remastered. Elsewhere I already shared my special and sentimental memories concerning the classic vinyl release of the 'Black Album', also know as 'The Black-box'. After the awesum vinyl-rip of Silkcut1978 I started a little research into the origin of each individual track

Very cool to have a look in your kitchen (I d/l'ed images from megaupload...), it looks very fancy indeed I haven't worked with limiters for a long time but I once had a job at a video and audio mastering department in a professional music plant. In fact it was ten years ago and all those limiters were still analogue. I suppose that digital limiters are far better able to anticipate to peaks and

QuoteLaughingsam My goal was to get a decent stereo mix. The DAC source has some sibilance and distortion on it, but it's squashed into the mono mix so it's not the first thing we notice. When I scattered the sound into a stereo mix, it became more obvious. Makes sense... although I don't really know what your 'stereo-recipe' is. Did you raise the levels after you've done the stereo trick?

QuoteLaughingsam QuoteGregg44 your remastering is only slightly better, it's more clear but still Jagger is in background and overall sound is rather on a muffled site than crispiness. I agree. I almost deleted the files rather than posting. Here's the problem: These 1981 sbds were not recorded very well -- no big deal ('76 wasn't either) -- but add to that the fact that they're in mono and th

QuoteBritney Does anybody know which date/programme the version of It's All Over Now from side C of the Black Box was played? I don't think I've heard this version on any other bootleg before. It's from the Joe Loss Radio Show, July 17th, 1964. This version of the 'Black Album' omits the begining and fades in at about 30 seconds. Cheers, Joyce

Quotevancouver i guess is the same version but fade in on black box...???? I'd guessed too, but there are certainly different harmonies in the middle section: "What can I do to win her back again / she kisses me - but it is not the shame" (the 2nd version adds a ooh-whoo after this line which can't be heard in the 1st). The second - well known - version is also sung more forcefu
