Quotekowalski I acquired them both earlier in the year. They are my first GP purchases and I have to say I'm rather underwhelmed. I'm not quite sure what all the fuss about GP is, enjoyable but not exceptional; sounding similar to most Country rockers back in the day. I have a generous slew MOFI CDs (check out The Feat's Sailin Shoes and Dixie Chicken) and also Audio Fidelity who focus

When I went to see the Stones at Twickenham in 2003 with some colleagues from work one of them shouted out for 'Let's Work' between songs...it was the best part of the gig for me (well it certainly made me laugh) However, I think some of the comments on this thread are a bit unfair to Mick when they imply he didn't work hard in the 60s and 70s (well early 70s at least). Yes, I know there wa

QuoteBlueranger Quotebobcat s there anything on Grrrr that is in stereo that isn't stereo anywhere else? The single edit of You Can't Always Get What You Want that appears on Grrr! is in Stereo. The same edit is in Mono on the 2002 edition of Singles Collection. However, the Stereo version was originally released on the 1989 version of Singles Collection, so it has been out of print for many ye

I have had that warning sign quite often here over the last few days, for example it appears when I try to read this thread: " Complete Artwork for Stones Archive releases" on Hot Stuff. I blame the Dutch ('lycos.nl') but on a serious note....should I take note of it?

I'd always thought it was 'Let It Rock' but...listening again....it's 'Paint It Black'...how amazing! I think the running gag theory explains it. A bit like a friend of mine calling out for 'Let's Work' when we went to see the Stones at Twickenham in 2003. It was funny at the time....you had to be there...

Can someone clarify? I am in the UK and have a multi-region UK DVD player....re both Ladies and Gentlemen and Live in Texas, where the choice exists, is it better for me to get an NTSC or a PAL version? From what I read above it's NTSC, which confuses me since PAL is the standard in the UK. Many thanks
