Still touring and still taking risks : his current live formula (same songs every night*** with a strong acoustic flavor) is stunning. *** = that is, after years of playing 50 diff. songs over the course of 5 shows for years. Mick and Keith should take their cue from the old live formula not the current one!

Thank God we have the Stones, otherwise the hairdressers from Liverpool would be acknowledged as the greatest Brit band of the 60's... Yuck!

QuoteMathijs What a bloody mess...nobody remembers the song, then you bring out Taylor so Wood can do the slide solo, and Taylor's solo is pointless.... Sorry, but I think its all happening 15 years too late.... Mathijs I had that feeling... about CYHMK : messy and pointless. But hey this is a premiere so we have to give the lads another chance (Saturday night?)

"Alsace 1976" is a mis-ID'ed boot ("Les Inrockuptibles" on "Gold Standard" ) which had the Lyon 1976 raw SB.

If you really insist on travelling back to 73 there's one song that was amazing the handful of times it was performed live : it's "100 Years Ago".

QuoteJumpinJeppeFlash It's good but i still think MT is oversoloing here. He indeed does plus after the first few bars he improvises while (imo) he should have duplicated note for note what he played on the studio version. This is a "signature"/legendary solo so there's really no way to play it differently.

QuoteDandelionPowderman They see the cheesiness of it? Yeah it has "the ugliest side of the 70's" written all over it. Give me DLSister instead of this one!

More power to GF label as they discovered that you hardly raise interest among the fan community if you sell single CDs at 15 Euros a pop 25 a double. It's a non-event, nobody will care. Otoh if you sell overpriced overblown box-sets (with zero new content) at a high price, fans will fight to buy them.

QuoteGodxofxrock9 i would buy this Get the unaltered torrents for free at the sites I mentioned above... 50% of this box is a theft of fans' hard work... the rest (June 5 & 7) is a repackage of old boot CDs.

Nice title... I just hope they got the best source for each show. Which means they pillaged Dime (June 4) & Hungercity (June 6)

What's "funny" if you like to look behind the curtain ( = listen to bootlegs) is the more they worked on DW the crappier and more stale the music got. The first sessions in Paris were fresh and promising, the NY sessions are still ok BUT the final/lp versions and songs are horrific (with the exception of "One Hit" : the official version beats all bootleg ones).

Quoteloog droog a bore-- it's never-ending riff going nowhere but around and around... made even worse by the goofy lyrics....a cartoon version of Sympathy For fans of a certain age, Dancing With Mr. D marks the END of the Golden Age. The cold, hard slap in the face that informed us that yes, the Stones were mere mortals after all. I wouldn't go that far even though I think MT made the

There's 90% chance your hearing will heal by itself BUT you have to be helpful = don't allow any more sonic trauma to allow for at least one week. That means no lawn moaning no rock shows and wearing foam earplugs in loud places including busy streets or subway. I really recommend you wear these... you'll get better sooner.

Quoteseitan Quotedcba Keith does see anyone under 50 with a guitar and an ability to rock as a potential threat. Remember what he barfed about G&Roses back in the late 80's? His great fear is that after 2013 Jagger keeps on rocking on a stage... with guys half his age. And he was right cause GnR sucks. he didn't pan their music he panned the way they dressed... What was next? The way
