I'm getting jumpy, wish I was there now. But, also feeling guilty as it's my daughter's birthday today and I should be just focusing on that. Having a bad mother day, courtesy of the Stones...good thing CindyC is around to be the good Mom.

Quotelettingitbleed I broke down and bought the ebook. It is quite good, though yes of course written from Jo's point of view, Ronnie hardly appears to be a model husband but Jo didn't mind the aloof behaivor, late nights and wild parties untill she got sick, slowed down and Ronnie kept on rockin. Ronnie never really changed, Jo matured and Ronnie still was acting like he was 25..that was t

Just got an email from Wells Fargo Center, inviting me to the "pre-concert party" at XFinity Live. Featured drinks are "Jumpin' Jack Flash" & "Brown Sugar." I would guess Brown Sugar is gonna taste so good...

I just finished the book too. For the most part, I enjoyed it, Jo has a good sense of humor and it comes through in her writing. There are some great antedotes about life on the road, the crew guys who were her friends, and Keith in particular. Her pain and despair comes through in the chapters about the end of her marriage, and Ronnie comes off very badly there. Ronnie is not always the h

QuoteStoneage "Dancing in The Streets" should be an option. It has Philadelphia in the lyrics... Yes, it does! But, I'd rather hear No Expectations, so that's what I voted for.

QuoteAquamarine QuoteMileHigh Better to go out on a reasonably high note - like right now. There is an art and a skill in life with respect to knowing when to stop. With all due respect--no there isn't. You only get one life, live as much of it as humanly possible. Never mind what other people think or whether it's "age-appropriate" or whatever. Screw all that! Perfect, Aquamari

Thanks bv. I decided to drive in, but I plan to get there early, thanks for the traffic alert Christopher. So, I'll be killing time, waiting to check into the hotel and waiting for my kid to get there from NYC. I hope to see some of you fine people at either the Holiday Inn or Victory Beer Park. Cheers!

I don't think Keith gets more of the love than Mick around here, but you've been here much longer than me Bliss, so maybe your right. I do know that when people start comparing the two, people on both sides rush to defend their favorite and it often gets nasty. I think they are both warm and lovable, just very different in their public personas and private personalities. And, they can both b

QuoteKatieGirl Sorry! But what else will I do for entertainment? Don't say I didn't warn you...you'll find yourself obligated to buy him dinner, listen to his boring albums, and then the next thing you know he thinks you're engaged to him and he'll expect you to pay for everything. I hear that's how he gets all his money. I can only imagine what he expects of the guys...

Short, long, or bald, it doesn't really matter. It's all about individual style now, which is great. In the 60's, 70's, really up until the 90's, hair style defined how men were percieved. Now, I think people aren't judged so much on how they wear their hair. I was too young to have much awareness of it in the 60's but I do remember how important long hair was for men back in the 70's. You're lucky to be getting a couple of shows in. I was tempted to go to the Wednesday show as well, but was quite busy with work. One thing you can say about a Stones show, it leaves you wanti

I even wore one of my new Stones t-shirt's. But too much vodka took

Angee, amazon has a lengthy excerpt from your chapter, available if you have an account with them. I skimmed through it, you sure have some fascinating insight there. Just wanted to share one thought..when you wrote about Frank Sinatra, it reminded me how my mother would scoff at all the swooning over the Beatles and Elvis, often saying "you should have seen what went on at Sinatra shows!&

Mick looks fine in those dailymail pics, just facing the morning light without benefit of some makeup and maybe his morning tea. I hope he's relaxing today, he sure worked hard last night at the concert. I've certainly have mornings when I would kill someone if they tried to take my picture...poor Mick.

He said in his autobiography he regrets asking for more money to play with The Stones... he was a great fit. that was written a long time ago. he really doesn't like these guys anymore (aside from ron, of course). he'll tell you in person if you ask him. can you elaborate as to why? didn't he open for them in 2006? Quotestonesrule Buddy Guy is quite erratic these days... You think so, stonesrule? I thought he was pretty good last summer, but he paced himself well, letting the kid he was touring with take over for a few numbers. I did think it was a fairly short show, but guess that's the most he can do now.

Quotestonesrule "I don't care what anyone says I'm gonna be up all night on...RISK!" Hung in there one long night with some friends in college who would often stay up all night, aided by various chemicals, to play the board game Risk. The regular moon breaks were the only thing that kept me going.

Cool! State Theatre is actually in Northern Virginia, really close to where I live. It's a fun place to see a concert. Too bad Jimmy Thackery is playing the same night as the Stones in Philly, as I would kinda rather see him than Buddy Guy, who I saw last year. Of course, I could always give up my Stones tickets...
