My feeling is that if the Stones do some new material, he might have a hand in it contributing a solo or some licks here and there maybe. As for another solo record, I'm not sure. I think something with the Stones might come first.

I will feel let down. -Bill should've been a part of this -the false-advertising of Taylor's role on this tour.... -One, maybe two songs a show only for Taylor. -A bunch of ridiculous guests -over-priced tickets -mostly a greatest hits show Basically I'm left with just a lot of could've/should've feelings about the "greatest rock n roll band" Absolutely not the way this b

QuoteDonnebr I gave up trying for Philly tickets. They can keep it Same here. Especially after the "one song only" thing regarding Taylor. He was the only reason I wanted a ticket to begin with, but now I'm glad I struck out when thyey initially went on sale.

QuoteDoomandGloomMick is so concerned about image he may not like the way Bill looks these days. It's been mentioned he had reservations regarding Taylor's as well. Their apparent decision not to bring him back contradicts much of what they have done recently. Wait a second...Who looks bad???? Bill?? I think not.... (Scroll down a little bit) Bill looks younger and healthier than all o

Quotechop Bill screwed up in 1993. At that time it didn't seem like such a dumb move...I mean what other band lasted that long at that time...and he was the oldest member. Was it that silly to assume the stones would only last another 4-5 years max anyway? I would've never guessed they would have so many big money tours post 1989-1990. If he did it all over again he likely stays through 2003 or s

I am 100% in the same mindset. And that is what is making the decision about getting tickets so difficult. We have no idea what capacity MT will be involved. I also have zero interest if it's only a song or two. We just don't have enough info to make a sound decision about taking that ticket plunge, and it's driving me crazy. Part of me thinks since it's a continuation of the "50 and coun

QuoteBeast Q: What about your old bass player, Bill Wyman? Was he asked to rejoin? A: He played with us in London last year, but he’s not keen on touring. He made that very clear to us. That explains not participating on this tour, but participating at Hyde Park isn't going on tour. It's taking part in, what would be for Bill, a local show, as he did last year. Personally, I think i

Quotebeepee2 He's pissed off, and Jagger said today in an interview that he wouldnt take part. Jagger really said that?? Where? When? Come on guys, you're killing me. This could be the beginning of the final stretch of the Stones as we know it. They're gonna go out like this?? Bandmembers, past and present, feuding about bullshit/non-important issues?? QuoteDonkey Girl Scout I bet all they do is bring him out every night for Midnight Rambler. Don't say that!!! I would feel SOOO ripped off. They need to take full advantage of his availability and presence and finally play the Taylor era songs the way they should sound. QuoteAlmostHearYouSigh I love that Taylor is back! This show (or shows) seems to be very important and signifigant in the big scheme of things with all of the Stones celebrations, and should be properly done. Being an anniversary type thing of the 69 show, and since we already have Taylor on board, to me it would be wrong for Wyman to not play the gig as well. Personally, I think some of us are making more of Bill's recent remarks in the media

Quotestonehearted Quoteachilles77 I hope they get Taylor and Wyman to place these shows (or at least the show on the 6th) since it's just a day away from the anniversary of the July 5 1969 show. Maybe even play the same setlist. That would be really cool. Mick Taylor will be joining them for sure on this next batch of dates, as a continuation of the "50 and Counting..." theme of Rolli

Quotestonehearted I think it's safe to assume why Taylor is postponing shows now, just weeks ahead of a Stones band meeting. In all likelihood, these shows were scheduled before his guest appearances with The Stones. They--Taylor and The Stones--just wanted to see how those appearances would go before any further plans were made--or cancelled. The Stones have no plans for a new studio album th

I thought I would get quite heavily involved, so when they said they only wanted me to do two songs I was a bit disappointed. I only had one rehearsal and no sound-check, so I just winged it. It was great, but I didn’t want to go to America for two songs. I think they understood. Well, Ch

QuoteDoomandGloom I don't know where I read it, that was long ago but I did read the quote from Ronnie at the time of Bill's departure. Ronnie said he hadn't played bass in a long while and couldn't imagine himself going back. I remember everything that involves the possibility of Taylor returning. Interesting. I didn't even know they were looking at Taylor at that particular time. Thanks

Wood had an end date of 2011 to his Stones career on his photo for a few days when the previous web site debuted. I've also noticed more official pictures that just feature the founding 3. If Mick Taylor is asked on board will Ronnie's role diminish or could he even quit!!! Seems improb
