Woah, that's sad to hear. ... All the negativity that gets heaped on Brian regarding drugs, booze and violence should also be heaped on a certain Mr Wood. Look how long he went off the rails f

Quotelatebloomer Asked if it gets any easier being a Rolling Stone after 50 years he says: "It never gets easier. You’ve always got to prove yourself. You can’t rely on anything you’ve done in the past. Every time you play live, it feels like you’re finding your way again. Then you look at Keith or Charlie and think, ‘Oh it’s OK.’” That line says everything about his an

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteMore Hot Rocks QuoteGlammy Nobody could ever hear him. I always thought it was pretty pointless having him on stage. On the other hand - he won the jackpot during his tenure with The Stones: He travelled the world, played in sold out stadiums, lived in the best hotels around, toured under best conditions, private planes, limousines, you name it, and was payed well (I

Quoteemotionalbarbecue They all work together. This is the challenge to face: let the energy flow. The 50th anniversary celebration has surprisingly turned into a musical gold mine to exploit. They began the tour as a celebration, as a way of having fun (and a business...ok). But now....they know this moment is something different. They have a lot of work left to do...a goldsmtith o

Quotemr_dja I think vermontoffender's closer to the truth here and although the Talorites may love this thread, I can hardly imagine what will happen when the atheists get ahold of it. Heck, it's boarderline offensive to Christians for that matter. Good job Bungo. If you were hoping to make a splash with your first post, you probably have. However, if people (other than vermontoffender &

Quotelettingitbleed Sold out my ass! Vegas had plenty of empty seats in my row alone and many more throughout the arena! Unless I am to believe all those people in the empty seats were purchased by people who decided not to show up.... There were people near me at the Vegas show that were just getting to their seats after Keith's set. SOLD OUT just like the shirt says:

QuoteThrylan QuoteSilver Dagger Great stuff kleermaker. I've been playing the Sticky Fingers album a lot lately. It's probably Mick Taylor's finest album. Funny you would say that....I postulate you're not a Taylorite,ist,orian.....they all think GHS is the one, it seems, even though they are raving about Sway and CYHMK. I am a Richardite, and say SF. Quotestonehearted QuoteStoneage With the exception of the musical content it seems to be the most popular Stones album ever made. Certainly the most talked about... Never has an album of songs been so little heard, yet so endlessly discussed. Let's not forget all of the the DW Tour discussions - this tour gets more ink than most of the other tours as well.

Quoteifyacantrockme I was listening to the bonus disc of Some Girls today because someone on the board here was raving about it and I do think it's better than the Exile bonus mainly because the songs seem more finished and better unity between the tracks. However, I was wondering if this was the release after Some Girls, say 1979 or even 80, would this have been another chart topper as big

Always liked the album. Without DW, it would have been a long time between Undercover & Steel Wheels - something that we are experiencing now. The only regret I have with that fact that DW was released is that it probably meant that more Mick Jagger solo albums were not produced and Mick Jagger did not tour with his solo material.

He did what he did and only he has to live with what's come of it. Unless he shoots up smack with Keith, snorts coke with any of the Stones or jogs every morning with Mick, Lance don't matter anymore on this site or anywhere e

Quotetrainarollin For $85 you get in the door...pick up your random ticket and move on. People pay more than $85 to see a hockey game in the standing sections. Bigger things to worry about than feeling ripped off on an $85 ticket. You go into the show, buy a shirt, a drink, find your seat and hopefully you leave with a good memory. This has always been my feeling about the $85 tickets. Mine
