One of the best times I ever had was seeing the Stones for the first time on the Voodoo Lounge Tour. Ronnie and Keith faced one another for almost the entire concert and played off of one another exceptionally well. They seemed to be actually communicating without speaking to one another. The music was terrific. The first opening shows of 2012 showed Keith at center stage while Ronnie played

Most of you have already heard this, but this is mind blowing. This must be a world record for the most tickets sold out for any performance, rock concert or other, in such a very short time. The Stones continue to be popular even in 2013, over 50 years after their inception. Back then they were young and cool looking. They are now much older and maybe a little flabby, but they still grab

I watched an old Elvis movie, Blue Hawaii, a few days ago and was impressed with his natural dancing ability. I am sure the movie people provided him with as many choreographers as he needed, but the natural talent was there. He moved very fluidly. Jagger too is a great dancer and moves well on stage. Both are fine singers too. I recognize that the music is very different. This has rarely been

I forgot to mention this. I am an aging rock star fan over the age of 50. Is Grace trying to suggest that I stop listening to the Stones and other rock music, because she finds it distasteful? Do I look foolish to others? I pretty much do what I wish, within reason, and could care less what other people think, particularly this nasty lady.

Grace Slick believes something that few other veteran artists would likely agree with: Aging rock stars don't belong on a stage. "All rock-and-rollers over the age of 50 look stupid and should retire," she once said. Slick is now 72, and since a short Jefferson Airplane reunion tour ended in 1989, she has mostly left music behind to focus on her visual art. One exception was a brief app

If you are in need of a jolt early in the morning, need a boost of confidence before embarking on a new project, or just need to get motivated big time, listening to this song will do the trick. Always did like this one.

The Stones at times tend to add an older, very strong but not well known song (Dark Horse) to the set list to spice up the concert. A few years ago, for instance, Can't You Hear Me Knocking was added with great success. CYHMK is probably not known by most casual Stones fans. This Dark Horse would supplement the usual War Horses that people expect and demand that the Stones play. I can think o

Was he the one who was always badmouthing Keith? Maybe he has gone into a severe depression when he heard that Keith was in top form. Or...who cares about Stones Tod?

Am I the only person who thinks this way, but isn't Gimme Shelter being overly used in too many movies? It is a great song, but too much is too much. The Stones have recorded something like 400 songs or maybe more.So why not use other songs? If a director is going for a mysterious and druggy feel, why not go for something like It Must be Hell, Soul Survivor, or Stray Cat Blues. Gimme Shel

The tongue stage was OK but we have seen it twice, once at the Super Bowl and again in 2012. Now that Keith has found his form and the men are playing well, it would be nice if they could bring back the moving stage, which I thought was unbelievable and a perfect way for the fans to see the Stones close up, or closer up, even if sitting in the nose bleed seats. Since this is the 50th year

I am not sure if this has been mentioned before, but the Stones always play at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. They have stated that they love this indoor arena. The acoustics are very good. I believe the tour will follow the same pattern as before, with a mixture of arena and stadium shows. Why should they change a winning formula now?

This was a terrific song on the reissue of Exile on Main Street, and was met with great eagerness by this group. I was really hoping we could hear that at the recent concerts, instead of the usual war horses. I also would have liked to hear Keith sing his version of Soul Survivor instead of Happy. What about hearing Following the River instead of Wild Horses, which they play at almost every conce

There can be no doubt that the Stones are playing at a very high level at this time. But they were truly awesome in Austin, Texas in 2006. Keith's solo guitar work on Under My Thumb and Oh No, Not You Again were near perfect. Also, they played a greater variety of songs that day, including one I had never heard of. Midnight Rambler, at other concerts, was excellent. We should not dismiss the

From what I have been reading, and after watching a lot of You Tube songs, I am wondering if the Stones and fans really want to deal with an opening act of one hour before the Stones take the stage. I have been to a few concerts and have found that most everyone is bored and just want the Stones to get out on stage. I have seen many people get up and walk into the concession area after watching t

Quotemicwer Watched it on AMC HD, Keith sounded fine and tight. Keith is actually looking at the frets as he plays the guitar. No more playing to the audience. He was not the best solo artist anyway. He looks as if he wants to do his solo part fast so he can do what he does better than anyone, play rhythm, and he is superb at that.

The Stones got me through some terrible years of depression. Just listening to them perked me up considerably. I used a Stones fix to get me going. I am fine now but not back then. The music is so very different from anything I have ever heard. My wife and I are going to Ohio hopefully soon to see them for the sixth time. Can't wait to go.

I have seen none of the live concerts in London, but have listened to a lot of the songs that have been on You Tube. While the sound quality has not been ideal, it does appear that his guitar silos have been spot on. They are short, concise, to the point, minimalist, and quite effective. On stage he seems to be really focused. Some of the solos on Shine a Light were not that great. His riffing in

Quotebv They are in great shape. And they sound great. No worries. Thanks, B. It would be great to hear a stripped down version of the Stones, Those horns were way too loud in the mix at my last 5 concerts, to the point that one could barely hear the guitars. The best Stones songs are musically minimal songs such as Back Street Girl and Star Star. Less is better.

Glad to hear the Stones rehearsing again. Any word about the shape they are in? How is the music sounding? Are they in good form? Was nice for them to invite bystanders into the rehearsals.

If One More Shot had been released in an earlier year, then on what CD or album would it fit in nicely. In other words, on what CD would it fit in neatly and seamlessly with the other songs? It sounds like a Steel Wheels song to me. In fact, I wonder if it was written about that time, then put on the shelf for consideration for release later on. Any thoughts?

Just read a handful of some of the comments Stones fans have made about this great song. Just read one from the 7 or 8 pages of comments. I read comments like F'ing Awesome, Great Song, and the Stones still have it after 50 years. I am thinking these could be younger fans who may then go on to buy some of the classic CD's, like Tattoo You and Some Girls. I am thankful that younger people

If Doom and Gloom had been released in an earlier year, then on what CD would it have fit in perfectly. In other words, what CD or album would it fit in really well with the other songs? I think it could have been on Exile on Main Street, somewhere between All Down the Line and Soul Survivor. Comments?

Assuming that the tickets for halfway decent seats are available at arenas or stadiums at reasonable prices, who here are becoming pretty happy about attending a concert by the Stones? Also assume that a decent supporting band plays prior to the Stones. I am going if I have to ride a donkey backwards to Columbus, Ohio or Cincinnati. I want to hear Doom and Gloom played live, and also One Last

I think you should stay at home. This will only free up tickets for those who really want to see them. Tickets will sell like crazy, and no one wants to sit next to someone with a sneer on his face and and who wishes he were somewhere else. Please stay home.
