QuoteAquamarine Surprised to see first reactions being responses to the support acts (who cares, to be honest? I don't think there are any opening bands at most of the Europe gigs, which is fine with me). You've got all the gigs rescheduled plus two new ones, surely that's great news? Because we get so few gigs here mate we like the whole experience to be first class. 1995 Auckland, suppor

Why do they give NZ audiences an Old Australian Band that had two hits here 28 years ago is beyond me, Ok if it has to be an Aussie band then why not Airbourne or Jet, Heck I saw the Hoodoo Gurus at the Grand Prix in Melbourne a few weeks back and they were fine....Hunters and Collectors are lame..... Heck a late breaking idea, why not Shihad at least they are under 40 and have some energy

L&G, I've had the fortune to be given the new Rolling Stones Crystal Head Set. Awesome gift pack, one of the best yet. Excellent value... I am what's described by my wife as a professional drinker.... I love scotch and would drink it instead of water if I was superhuman. However, When I sampled Mr Akroyd's tipple, I was left half slaughtered on the couch, with my reading glasses in a ba

When are Foghat, Grand Funk Railroad, J Geils Band, Steve Miller who probably sold more tickets than anybody else in the 70's, going to get nominated?. You gotta love how it's all token black acts, trying to emphasize a very limited influence into the great source. Heck what Pink Floyd has to do with Brenda Lee and the Staples is just too much of a tenuous link.... In my opinion Rock is a

Taylorites/Taylorians and the Rest, I have been interested in Mick T's comments prior to the 50 and Counting American leg that he'd "Never been to Rehab before", well can I say that the change in physical appearance from the "One More Shot PPV" and the Glastonbury show is remarkable. The quality of the Glastonbury recording reveals a man whose must've lost 2 Stone (haha) or

You know some times the first idea is the best one, it's just a case of recognising it. "Spare Parts" sounds pretty darn good to my ears, so it shall be named as such in the collection. "Gold Rings On Ya" Stonehearted. Cheers Mate, as they say in the antipodies

IMO, The second disc is so good it deserves it's own album title, CD2 doesn't quite cut it.. "It plays like a whirlwind desperate to survive" is my description of it's essence. :: I believe the intent of the original recordings, has been augmented by the additional vocals, guitars and so forth. Giving us a genuinly unique hybrid, that give's rise to the possibly of this going

I've been monitoring the Eagle Rock site, Bravado and just about anything that could be involved, and not a peep since the initial word. I would say that they usually look to release Late October/Mid November in the past to capture the christmas market. So i'd say if we don't hear anything within the next 6-8 weeks then it's a whenever/whatever proposition imo

Quoterollmops I still don't like it. I believe it was easier and quicker to come up with something silly(wellcome to the 21th century!) than something meaningful. But if Mick likes it, it's fine; no big deal. Rock and roll, Mops With respect what would you define as "meaningful". An MRI of Mick's Larynx?, Keith's Fiji/NZ Pathology Results from 2006? I'm feeling a hole has been left in the crative world today. Mark's vision of what a sterile stadium could become truly gave the world a new expectation of what wonders that could be erected within a few short days, transforming concrete monoliths, vast open spaces, or confined interiors into visual wonders of steel and light, projecting awe and spectacle on a scale never dreamed of less than
