79. As it happens, by my count they played the exact same number in 2005-07.

One of my favorite Stones recordings of all time. Too little known and too hard to reproduce onstage. Without the proper band & vocal dynamics as captured on record, it wouldn't sound as good.

Quotesonomastone They are trying to keep its length down and have it sound more like the record. Exactly. And that's the way they've been doing it since '89.

Quoteryanpow in 89 there were too many keyboards, guitars were too low in the mix, but their chops were better. and yeah, bill was still there. Exactly my take. Plus rhythmically they were stiff. When Wyman made his remark about the Stones sounding like they're playing to "click tracks", to me that's what I hear in '89, and less so in 94, and looser still afterwards - though the cho

It was played four times. Philly, Chicago, Boulder and Oakland. It was the last song for the last three concerts. In Philly it was between the last Some Girls tune, Shattered, and Sweet Little Sixteen.

Quotevermontoffender The whining here is incredible. The Stones are touring in 2013. Mick Taylor is joining them onstage for a few numbers throughout the tour. Hell, he even played with them at the warm-up gig! I'm nothing resembling a Taylor fan, but the fact that so many IORRs still feel the need to complain at this point is astounding. What is wrong with you? Seriously....take the time f

• 1981 was their best tour (OK, maybe not the first gigs) • Mick Taylor onstage with them now ruins the sound (Midnight Rambler), and I'd rather he wasn't there • Bridges to Babylon and Bigger Bang are much better than Goats Head Soup and IORR (in fact, last three albums are way better than the mid-70s trilogy) • Dirty Work is flawed but still very good • Goats Head Soup is mostly

QuoteTimeIs Mick, instead of adding a third show to Toronto, why not Montreal? Say, on June 9? June 6 Toronto Air Canada Centre (2nd show) June 12 Boston TD Garden June 18 Philadelphia Wells Fargo Center Some of us can't afford both the ticket prices and the travelling/hotel/loss of work revenue, etc. From my lips to God's (Mick's) ears. THANK YOU MICK!!!

Quotecrumbling_mice no Time is on my Side Time was played at one show in 98 I think, and apart from that hasn't been played since 81-82. Before that, they hadn't played it since 66. It's hardly been worn out. I always love Dice. Could really do without Miss You and especially Sympathy.

Quotestonesstein 6. Terrifying/Almost Hear You Sigh/Hearts for Sale/Blinded By Love/Break the Spell - SURPRISE! 1/2 of Steel Wheels is an insult to the band's prior catalog due to its contrived and slapdash composition. Clearly, the Stones had so little in the can after the first of the public feuds b/t the Glimmers until the bottom of the barrel is splashed all over this record! I KNOW it's

Quotejamesfdouglas Dirty Work, Sweet Neocon, one can kind of snicker at those songs. Yeah they're terrible, hahah! I LOVE the song Dirty Work. Very underrated. Passionate, cutting guitar solo: Cued up: Back to Zero, though, now that's another story. It's up there with My Girl, Sad Day, Short and Curlies, Can't Be Seen, Pretty Beat Up and Suck on the Jugular as strong annoyances. Overal

Quoteandrewt Actually it wouldn't surprise me to see a Hawks-Bruins final (Which would be epic) now that Crosby's out. I predict a replay of '73 (and '71): Habs-Hawks, with the same winner as '73.
