QuoteCaptainCorella Quotethomashanck something new in it for ya ? Rather good! Forcibly reminds me why the Las Vegas-ified version of Midnight Rambler played in Havana annoys me so much. It's a frigging great song, doesn't need the razzle dazzle - it has to be threatening! Yeah, I couldn't disagree more. To each their own, but for an audience of a million (give or take) t

QuoteHMS QuoteRip This ...taylor's style as beautiful as it was and can sometimes be is essentially very dated... He sounds as old as he is...probably older...in 50 and counting he was a duck out of water...even for the Stones. Fully agree. Midnight Rambler always has a lot more punch with MT not being around. Now that he´s gone MR finally sounds aggressive and fresh again. It sure wasn

Does anyone have any ideas or heard any rumors about more tix being made available for the 22nd show? If there is a drop, how would you find out? I've got a couple of friends who want to go, but after looking around a bit, it's not the buyers market I thought it would be. Any insight would be much appreciated. Cheers.

QuoteDeanGoodman Quoteshawnriffhard1 I have searched the thread to no avail. How much are the Lucky Dip tix? The lowest price mentioned on AXS is $75, and lucky dips come in pairs, so budget $150 plus fees. Yeah, I saw that, but looking back through the thread, it seems the LuckyDips were only available on rollingstones.com, so it seems the $75 only applies to the ASX site. I thought I had se

^^^That. They DO play what they want. They want/need the rapturous, "Oh shit, this is my favorite!", type of reaction. That's what they (MJ & KR) feed off. That's what keeps the Stones rolling. Not people quietly, appreciatively listening. I know I and a lot of us here would love it, but I don't think the band themselves feel that way (maybe Charlie would, but ...).

QuoteJustinCaseBandDK Some of the gigs in 1975 and 1976 was only 18 songs long! OT - AC/DC have been playing a setlist with 19-20 songs since 1980, songs like You Shook Me All Night Long was not played live until around 1985/86. OT Response- It looks to me like YSMANLong was played 240 times between 1980- 1985.

Are any IORRers going to the show tonight? I don't know Burbank that well; is there a cool place for a preshow? I have an extra ticket that I'll trade for a beer, if anyone needs it. See you then!

IIRC, The EMI Rewind LP was different from the US version by two songs. Respectable and She's So Cold were switched for Emotional Rescue. Then IORR and Heartbreaker were added to the cd release.

Quotewhitem8 Well Ya Ya's is perfect due to the many overdubs. Except that there aren't many overdubs on GYYO. Six vocals and one or two possible guitar overdubs. Only one overdub was actually different to the live performance and that's JJFlash because they wanted the phrasing to match what everyone was familiar with as opposed to the drawn out version from the tour.
