It really would be more complete to throw in Love Is Strong, Mixed Emotions, Out of Control/Saint of Me/ASMB?, Rain Fall Down/Under the Radar to go with the new 2 songs. A lot of Stones fans grew up when these were out. Frankly, I don't know why they always seem to drop new songs right after that album's tour. They've been needlessly 'drowning their young' for the last 30 years.

Now it's up to Keef's guitar tech to give him a supremely crunchy overdrive in that amp for this song's first part.

How about Ann Wilson belting out Zep's Black Dog with the boys, and then Taylor for 10 minute versions of Sway, CYHMK, Rambler, YCAGWYW and SFTD; followed by Happy, and then do the whole thing again and end with JJF?

QuoteGRNRBITW QuoteDoomandGloom Yes... Has Charlie ever done drum solos??? Everyone in the 70's did them.... not once. if not a drum solo, then at least a brief aria... I saw him do one once at the end of TD in Philly 1999. It was only about 10 seconds but still stands out in my mind because it was so out of the ordinary for him.

QuoteMax'sKansasCity GO SNOW DOG!!! I love the live version on All the World's A Stage. That and Moving Pictures are the only ones I have left in vinyl. The first three songs someone showed me how to play on acoustic guitar were Rush songs. I hadn't heard of them yet and my friend didn't sing any words or anything; he was just showing me how to play the songs. I just assumed they were a fo

QuoteMr. Jimi I listened to Sway from last night's show in the car today. Mick T provided me with such joy during that solo, I actually teared up. Yup. A grown man brought to the brink by a beautiful piece of music. What a wonderful moment, for me. ...it was the first real Stones emotional moment in many many years. Thought I would share, can't wait for Boston. Aren't you conveniently l

Quotestoneman333 Just seen a short clip of JJF on youtube - with MT. Does this mean 5 songs for MT tonight? Wow, good catch!

Brilliant Ronnie slide on Sway. It'd be nice if they work on the intro and feel for that one; the studio version is driven simply by the main rhythm guitar ringing out (sus2's?), one sustained strum per chord change on the verses which would also give it a more relaxed feel so Jagger wouldn't feel compelled to over-force the singing during the verses. The band has really improved this from the ot

QuoteJumpinJackOLantern Quotemnewman505 Heart warming. Now if we can just get Mick and Keith to snuggle up to one another like this. All would be right in the world, wouldn't it? At least all would be right in Stones world. Or at least cuddle up to re-shoot the Dirty Work cover, ha.

I like that Mick T is only playing one song....(wait for it..)... at a time. Because trying to play 3 songs at the very same time would be difficult as hell!

QuoteEddieByword QuoteThrylan I really hope they pulled these off, and got a good reaction. One hopes they are as aggressive with the warhouse section too. That's what I thought, revamp the 2nd half and we'll be getting somewhere......... You mean like replacing Satisfaction with a 7 minute version of "2120 S Michigan Ave" where Jagger brings the house down with a wicked harp jam?

Quote71Tele Quoterollingon Tt seems a absolutetly amazing setlis, I hope the videos are good and Taylor has succeeded well and I hope that Mick Taylor will get more playtime now permanently, maybe they have planned from beginning to give him more playtime after a few shows, and somebody has speculated (or even known?) about this earlier in this forum. I don't even dream about more than 3 song

Quite amazing if this setlist verifies. Keef on YGTS! Very adventurous segue from GS to Faraway Eyes. I'm wondering if they'll swap a warhorse or two since CYHMK is as long as 2 songs. Really exciting night all around.

QuoteHis Majesty But, again, would Taylorites prefer that Brian had sorted himself out and remained in the band he kick started? I think we wish that LOTS of folks had sorted themselves out: Brian, Syd, Brian Wilson, Peter Green, Janis, etc etc. I think Jones would have left anyways because of songwriting, personal dynamics and musical direction. As far as Taylor goes, after following in Cl

Well Ronnie has sure made the case for Taylor on YCAGWYW from some of the clips I've seen, lol. It seems a little petty to give Taylor two of the weirder songs to solo over: MR is very dynamic with lots of speed changes, and Satisfaction is a riff song chugging along at 50 mph to end the show. Neither of those songs is just your normal "solo over the verse/chorus section" like all of th

The Ramblers have indeed stood out. The No Expectations was transcendant as well, with Mick relaxing like his pre-1989 onstage self and unforced vocal mannerisms, replete with a loose organic acoustic guitar strum. And we still haven't heard the club version of Love In Vain!

So there were originally around 1000 $85 tickets to each show. And then in the run-up to each show, there were discounted tickets. And the day before each show there were more $85 lottery-style tickets. My question: Do you stand a better chance of getting good seats from the day-before-the-show sales of $85 lottery tickets (because they are offloading more higher-priced tickets at the last mi

What's different about this US sporting event is that it is filled with international participants. And also, unlike a ballgame or auto race, everyone knows beforehand what time the winners start to cross the finish line. The toll would have been far worse if it had happened 2-4 hours earlier. A friend's daughter attending a nearby college saw the cops detonate one of the found devices in a p

The trouble with MR and CYHMK is that they're long; -especially in a set that will most likely include SFTD, YCAGWYW and whichever song ends the night, as JJF and Satisfaction have done. I think that's great because Jagger gets a little break from singing, but a longer set really wears on Charlie, who never gets a rest. That said, these three seem the most likely (besides MR): **Heartbreake
