On the day took the family to Berwick Street in Soho, London. Sunny afternoon, live music (Brainiac 5, Wire), market stalls, paint your favourite LP cover competition and 6 absolutely rammed record shops. I got the Big Star double LP plus singles from Hawkwind, Family and Primal Scream. Returned the Pink Floyd See Emily Play because it is NOT in a pic sleeve as per the original promos. Resorted

Bloody hell! The usual performance Logged onto the official BST site at 0858 and spent the next 40 minutes being told that Tier One was unavailable and being logged out repeatedly then at 0949 voila! a Tier One ticket appeared! So the moral of that story is persevere, even when you get the Sold Out / Cannot Supply The Number Of Tickets You Requested message Out of interest did anyone get

I was listening to The First Barbarians CD last week (Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards live at Kilburn 1975, great gig). The intro and outro to the RW track Shirley are clearly the main riff from Monkey Man - check it out!

Malachy (who directed the pre-concert film) told us that it will be included as an extra on the live DVD, possibly in a longer version. We all had to sign release forms accordingly.

There will be an official DVD. Malachy, the director of the film that precedes the band on stage, told me that the plan was that an extended version of the fan-film would be an extra on the official live DVD. Whether the live footage will be London or New York or a blend of the two remains to be seen. The lazy way would be just to release the PPV, but those London shows were pretty damn fine...

News from CMR of two forthcoming relesae from Godfather Records ( www.collectorsmusicreviews.com/announcements/the-rolling-stones-2012-on-godfather ). Each show is on 2CDs with deluxe packaging, retailing around 27 Euros. This has got to be one of the quickest releases ever...I think they will sell out quite quickly.

Absolutely. Clear evidence as to why Ronnie got the job instead of JB! Going Down was a poor song choice I thought because there is not much of a lyric for Jagger to work with. It is a tune they all know - Keith played it at that Barcelona Guitar thing. Better would have been Superstitious (Steve Wonder, written for J, I Ain't Superstitious (Howlin' Wolf) or even a medley of the two!

Amidst all the excitement of the 02 I just remembered the postman delivered my Doom and Gloom single on Saturday, and very nice it is too. One-sided with the 50 years logo etched on the other side. I bought my copy from Universal, it arrived shrink wrapped and well packaged in a thick cardboard mailer. If you haven't got a copy it's worth hunting down. I hope they release One More Shot in the
