I think she is really interesting and pretty cool. I went to see her do a performance in the Bluecoat art gallery in Liverpool a few years ago. It was in a small theatre with probably 100 or so people there. She came in wrapped in bandages and asked us to come and unwrap her. My wife and I, along with others came down and took off the bandages (she was clothed underneath ). I still have the ba

Hi This is an error, a mistake, a ****-up. Its not a conspiracy, intentional or fraud. They made a mistake and they are trying to put it right. Stay cool. Its the Stones. In their home town. In the iconic park that they have such a connection with. It's going to be just fine. Wherever any of us stand in the park, it will still be great. I'm by no means a massive Stones fan, but I've seen them i

Hi I have been watching this thread with interest. I haven't bought a ticket for Hyde Park yet. I saw the gig at the O2 last year, have tickets for Glasto and I'm holding out in the hope they add a second Hyde Park gig, as I can't make the first. My observations are this. I suspect that AEG / BST festival were intending to use the same stage set as Bon Jovi, and then the Stones camp have decided

The efestivals forum, which is probably the major forum for discussing Glastonbury, is full of posts which are talking as if The Stones are as good as confirmed for headlinging the Pyramid stage on Saturday at Glastonbury. efestivals has them listed as strongly rumoured for Saturday night. They are usually pretty good with their predictions. Peter vintagerock

Thanks everyone. I was at the Sunday gig, and wished I could have gone tonight. Following it on here was just great.

I could see only a small handful of empty seats. I asked at the information desk in the hope of upgrading my nosebleed seat and was told that it was a sell out. I think there may have been a few tickets that touts had left on their hands, and a few people who couldn't attend on the day, but overall the place was packed, and more full than I've seen it at some other gigs I have attended at the O2

Thank you to the Stones for a show that, for me was really emotional. I was moved in a way I haven't be for a long time at several points in the show: The first song just blew me away Paint It Black: unbelievable: the best I have seen them play it Midnight Rambler: I was back in the 70s when I was a kid in Newcastle City Hall The Choir on CAGWYW: just sweet and beautiful I am still on a

Well said Gazza. I've seen the Stones 11 times now, the first time being in 1971 at Newcastle City Hall and I would rate last night the best I've seen them play since the 70s. I was totally overwhelmed by their performance which reached heights that I would have never thought possible these days. I was hoping for a good show, and feared I would be disappointed, but last night I was totally knocke

For me I was just pleased to be there and see them play so well. I thought the set was fine: a few surprises and great versions of the classics. I thought it all worked well, the guests were great fun, and was definitely much much better than the last few times I've seen the Stones. Wish I could afford to go again on Thursday, but I'm spent up and will have to pay for a divorce if I go again

Hi Mick was around in the venue before the show last night with Zoot and the rest of the band. I didn't see anyone asking for an autograph, but I'm sure you could easily have done so. I didn't hang around after the show as I had a 50 mile drive home, so I don't know if he did any signings after. Hope you enjoy the gig tonight, I'm sure you will. Best wishes Peter

I went to see Mick Taylor and his band last night at the Buck Hotel Reeth. The venue is a lovely little pub set in the Yorkshire dales. It holds around 100 people and was packed. Mick's band was red hot tight and he looked well. His playing was pretty good all night, at times he was really fluid, and playing like old times. At other times it just wasn't quite there. Zoot Money was excellent. They

Hi I was at Newcastle City Hall at the early show in 71. Fraid my memory is not good these days, but I don't recall them playing Can't You Hear Me Knocking. Of course they could have played it at the later show (there were two shows that night). Peter vintagerock

Went to see Ian McLagen at the Cluny in Newcastle last night. Great evening. His voice is strong and his keyboard playing as great as ever. Great banter with the crowd. He very clearly said that there will be more Faces dates in 2012. vintagerock.wordpress.com

Saw him a couple of years ago, and it was a great and, for me, easily as good an experience as when I first saw him 40 years ago, but in a different way. The guy is in his 80s, he played a major part in inventing rock as we know it, and he's still out there doing it. Go see him and enjoy it for what it is. The man is a legend. Period. PS come back to the UK soon Chuck Peter

Sad news. Great musician. I only saw him perform once; at a local working men's club in the 1970s. He was playing with his band the Diamonds, and played a selection of Shadows tunes and his hits with Meehan. Great player and a true gent, as I recall. Peter

I saw them a few years ago when they were billed as Doors of the 21C and had the guy from the Cult singing. I thought they were pretty good. I see they are playing the Uk (Wolverhampton announced so far) with the Royal Philharmonic. I'm quite tempted. Peter

For me this was my 17th Who show and the best I've seen for a long time, perhaps since the 70s. It worked becasue it was more of a performance than a straight Who concert. It was everything Quadrophenia should be: interesting, challenging, sad, rocking and a celebration for all of us of a great band and a great rock opera. Almost didn't go to this; but pleased I did, On Tuesday night I saw glimps

Yes Go. I saw them a few years ago for the first time in 30 years and they were great. They played a mixture of very early material and stuff from S F Sorrow. Phil May was still awesome as a front man. I have tickets to see them play S F Sorrow in Salford in February and can't wait. Peter
