Hehe. Wasn't sure but now I got it confirmed what I thought Mick said when Bill was leaving the stage after HTW: "The detector!" :-)

I'd rather have Route 66 instead of I wanna be your man. However, maybe R66 would fit better for the US shows. Not fade away could be a possibility tomorrow.

wonder how much they will change the set list. my guess: not fade away replacing one of the early sixties ones (maybe the opener) and cyhmk replacing m.rambler.

Quoteaustrianstones what`s about an additional gig on nov.27th ? maybe today, if public sale goes well? I think it's in the cards. First two shows being a sell out and the arena seems to be available for the 27th.

QuoteNaturalust What does his gig schedule say about the dates for the 4 Stones shows? Previous engagements or will the Stones possibly grace the stage with MT for the announced shows? peace The 30th of Nov is the day after the 2nd O2 show and the only MT show I'm aware of close to the 4 dates. One could always hope... At £ 25 per seat it's a fair bet.

There are still seats available at £ 25 for Mick Taylor + support at London Cadogan Hall 30th of Nov. No vip packages or free champagne, all seats same price. As it says in the ad: "Now playing with a line-up of long-time friends and musicians this is a concert you do not want to miss." Could be interesting... Got mine a month or so ago, have plane tickets to London for that wee

Why don't they play the Paralympics instead? Would give them some extra time to practise as well.

QuoteBig Al Surely the credits for Watching The River Flow should read something like: The Rolling Stones Feat. Bill Wyman? If Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie are featured together, then surely it should go down as a Rolling Stones recording? Or maybe not? Think it should be credited "Ben Waters featuring The Rolling Stones + others".

Just a thought: There are more shows comming up at various UK theathers under the label "Boogie for Stu" which are also advertised to be "with special guests". I guess there may also be some kind of a release party when the record finally comes for sale. Could it be that ..... I mean, just like when doing the recordings they did all contribute, though not at the same time. Cou

My gut feeling is one or both of the Glimmers will show up tonight and if there was a bookie taking bets on it, I would go all in on Mick. He's been really busy lately "rebuilding" his image and it seems he wants to show the public he is "out of his hide". I do not think he would miss this opportunity. At least he has left his hotel in Los Angeles: www.musicrooms.net Als

According to Keith (in Life), by the early sixties rock'n roll had died and gone pop, which is why they called their music rythm'n blues.

It appears that Dressmann has a "button guarantee". If you loose a button they'll compensate you with a new piece of clothes. Now, at least there's an idea for free to those that will be making the commercials... What about: An old rock star coming into a store that sells clothes and tells the teenage girls behind the counter that; "I think I busted a button on my trousers. You

I might as well have posted this under "the Rock n roll is dead" or the "are the boys fools to cry or still hot suff" threads, but I really think it deserves a thread on its own. Coming early to the office this morning and picking up the newspapers on the steps, I notice that all over the front page on one of our daily business papers (Finansavisen) there is what seems to

I believe they really NEED a new record to go on tour. To do it without one, would be like touring on the back of ... Life. Not sure if ol' man Jagger is ready for that.

QuoteNiklas Quote71Tele I have refined my idea. What if we choose a particular Stones album (my preference would be Exile, but that's probably too ambitious) and everyone takes a song. Then we sequence them in the same order as the original album. Maybe too much, but what the heck. Just throwin' it out there... If Exile is chosen, give me and my band The Crawlin' Kingsnakes All down the line! I

QuoteGreg Gee, I hope this doesn't affect the sales of the new EXILE in a negative way... I think it might affect the sales of the super duper mega delux box set that's supposed to contain the pink gel life size replica of the lead singer's genitals. You know the set with the "Rip His Joint" version (http://exileonmainst.shop.bravadousa.com/Product.aspx?cp=34299_34394&pc=BGLPRS02)
