Quotetatters QuoteBeast of Babylon Ronnie wood has been a stone longer that Bill, Mick T and Brian COMBINED. Almost, but not quite. In another four years or so that will be true. Not really, technically. Ronnie has been a band member since 1994, if I am not mistaken, he has been a hired hand until then. I always found that strange, but that's the way it is, right? Of course he has played long

QuoteIrix Paris? To travel less, they could stay in Paris and play also shows in London and e. g. Cologne. They will stay in Paris to play in London. Now, that made me laugh. Yes, there are strong rumours they will play 3 subsequent nights in London and return to Paris after each concert to get 2 hours of sleep. Do you work for DHL? :-) I don't mean to offend you, don't take it personal

Quotepaulywaul Quoteflacnvinyl @varilla - I agree COMPLETELY. It is sad to see him hit bum notes for an entire performance. I live only a few hours away from his hometown (Duckroom @ Blueberry Hill, St. Louis) and have not gone to see him due to this. It would be cool to see the legend... the grandfather of rocknroll... but to see a legend play terrible is an entirely different thing. I am

QuoteGrison Once you have the tickets in hand, you will be escorted into the arena. Wow, so nowadays, "scoring" a normally priced ticket means jumping right into the middle of a James Bond movie. I am sure Al-Kaida will be happy once they get to know that the CIA will be busy taikng care of the secret maneuvres around The Rolling Stones shows this summer.

QuoteRoughJusticeOnYa (b) ...or wait untill the Keith-slot starts; then go. One of the most stupid comments that appear here every now and then. I understand that different peopple have different tastes, but those who go to pee during Keith's set would probably be happier at Celine Dion show.

I always have this dilema too. Everyone does. While queuing in front of the entrance, I always tell the people behind me that I go to the bathroom and that I will be right back. Never had a problem with that. Once inside the venue, it is pretty much the same. I always ask the people around (if I am not with anyone else) to keep my place and I leave my bag there. I only leave thigs that I could co

When I studied in Sweden, I bought her Best Of album - nice melancholic Swedish songs. I like to listen to it every now and then, it takes me back 13 years...whenever I put it on, I feel like I am on a walk in Djurgården on a spring sunny day...I love Sweden :-)

Quotegotdablouse So no specific date for LA and no mention of HP today according to that dude? That sucks...and doesn't make sense for LA, would look pretty amateurish, no? That news arricle sounds amateurish. I bet that the one who wrote that doesn't KNOW what will or will not be announced today. It states that the tour will start there, and since it should(??) start in about 4 weeks from now,

It is obviously a PR strategy they decided to use. And it surely works on a lot of people, but it might have exactly the opposite effect on others. Half a year ago I was really excited and sure I would travel quite far to see them. Not overseas, but further than I am willing to travel to see other acts I love. Now I am not excited anymore. If they played reasonably close, for at least a bit r

Okay, since this is an official "countdown," we shoud at least know how many days are there left, shouldn't we? Without it, it is just pointless counting.

QuoteThe Sicilian He opens his 2013 tour in Buffalo at University of Buffalo College on April 5th. I'm seriously considering going as I have never seen him. His 2012 set lists have looked pretty good. You have to go then! Just listen to some recent bootlegs first to be prepared, not like me when I went to see him the first time, knowing just his "hits" from the studio albums. Th

Nice story GravityBoy. Charlie is just a great man. The ABC&D shows are brilliant and I know that everyone had a great time. Both on stage and in the audience.

Quotewhitem8 I don't think it is a big full fledged world tour. But more like selected dates. He has been doing this now for the past four-five years. Somewhat like the Never Ending Tour (Dylan)... Except that Bob does some 90 dates a year. Annually. I would call that a regular tour.

NOOOO! Like it is not enough I have to skip Springsteen this year, since we are ecpecting a baby right about the time when he will be sort of close to where I live. And now it looks exactly the same with Paul. I would love to see him again so much, I can only hope that there will be some suitable date for me.

Grison, that Springsteen concert had a FOS, but it was really huge at a stadium and that spot was still hard earned by long standing. Anyway, I understand, that the seating arrangement at those Stones' concert was way different. Still, those VIP buffets, or generally any VIP stuff at rock concerts has absolutely no appeal to me. I agree with what you write - everyone should do what he wants, b

Wow, this is so Rock'n'Roll. I would not go there if they payed me and seriously don't understand how someone here can be interested in that. Just the last summer at the Springsteen concert in Vienna I was waiting in the 4th row by the centre of the stage. I stood next to 4 people from UK or US, I don't remember, and they had some VIP tickets for some ridiculous money and could go to some VIP

QuoteJumpinJackOLantern I wasn't the only one who beat the drums. You are right again! How do you do that? Even I can recall several persons doing exactly the same! Thewatchman, MightyStones50StillRolling, DoomNGloom... QuoteCocaine Eyes There is indeed a fine tradition of birthdays on the road. I hope you're right about Jagger liking the idea.......this time! I will never forget that moment, when I (together with other 80,000 people) sang Happy Birthday to Mick, who turned 60 the day before.

QuoteJumpinJackOLantern I don't give up easily. Watchman, I think we all have learned that a long time ago, you poor creature. On one hand, it is a wonder how long has your present incarnation been here, on the other hand, it is no use to ban you. You re-appear the very second with another name. But yea, I think that we kind of got used to you. It is nice to have our own freak here. QuoteJum

I saw BB in 2009 and again in 2011. I enjoyed both of those shows, but the difference of 2 years was very obvious. I would call that one in 2009 a great concert. Sure, it was not the same as 20 or 30 or more years ago (which I only know from DVDs), but it was still musically very good. A lot of talking, yes, but enough of music too. In 2011, there was even waaaay more talking and waaay les

He disappeared around the time when Bruce and Bon Jovi sang together at the 12-12-12 concert. Weird :-) No, seriously, we miss you, Gazza, just as we miss some other great former members, who decided not to spend their lives by discussing The Sons Of The Beatles and whether or not to boycott The Rolling Stones if they don't meet our demands.

The Just For The Record documentary is a total crap. I bought it some years back and still regret I spent my money on that (30 Euro, I think!). It has some bright moments - interviews with Mick T, Anita and some other quite interesting people, but other than that, it is very superficial, it is not authorised, so absolutely no Stones music, when there is a clip from a concert, the music is some ba
