It is risky to sick Plundered, but not no spare parts, easy melody, doesn't stretch jagger for notes, hardly Bill and Ted -esque on guitar either. I think it would be worth a bit of risk though - and plundered got a lot of my friends interested in them when it was relreleased. Agree there is a whiff of tumbling dice about it - but if they could be arsed learning 'hand of fate' 'with all its words

A genuinely great song, I would love them to play this (preferably at Glasto or Hyde park gigs) but haven't seen it mentioned once in rehersals. It would be a shame if, after the relrelease of Exile and Some Girls, none of the 'new' tracks will get a run out. Surely Plundered My Soul, Following the River, Do you think I really care, No spare parts - and just as a wish list, during a break -

Re: Countdown to The Rolling Stones 2013 Tour Posted by: bv () Date: February 24, 2013 22:22 For most Stones fans in the world it is now 6-8 years since they got the chance to see The Rolling Stones live on stage. Within the next nine months we will have the chance to see them live at least one more time. It is not clear what the ticket prices will be. May be they will do some shows,

I was talking about the press coverage that it received as a result of it. Bruces sales went up on the back of glastonbury. Either way its just an opinion

QuoteBlackHat Quotejumpinjack in other words.....make another awesome album for all generations!!! ;-) Hardly likely. My experience of the Under 30s with the Stones shows that they break into 2 camps. Kids who play music and understand the Stones value (5%) and young ladies who like to wear a sequinned Stones lapping tongue t-shirt but have never actually heard their music (95%). Watchman -

QuoteJumpinJackOLantern Quote71Tele So outtakes from Exile are "better than Exile"? Tele, sometimes I think you need to take a reading comprehension class. No, what I said was this compilation of songs I have listed beats the crap out of Exile. My opinion. Watchman,(sorry woman!) Come on, shows how little you know about music if you honestly believe this. Critics didnt like it on i

QuoteJumpinJackOLantern QuoteHairball It's really too deep to try and explain. Just choose a side and enjoy. Or choose both. Or choose neither. It's Ohio State vs Michigan. It's Ali vs Frazier. It's Frankenstein vs The Wolf Man. And much more. Waaay, its the return of TheWatchman , MightyStonesstillrolling50 bla bla. Boring, delussional nonsense, stop comparing the bands. Next stop - t

Jagger had a short conversation with chris evans this morning on his breakfast show, and what I thought was interesting was right at the end, when pushed about talking about the tour he replied 'It's not a very long tour...the first bit'. I presume 'the first bit' is reference to the London and Newark shows, but that last bit on the end suggests there will be more in the new year, and keeps the G

QuoteGazza you make alot of very good points. The media coverage and exposure Glastonbury gets - and the financial benefits from it - far outweighs the revenue theyd get from the festival itself. The band would be very aware of that. The reason they picked IOW instead of Glasto in 2007 though was probably more to do with the promoter. John Giddings is the band's UK promoter and he is also the

As a fan in my mid 20's I can give a little perspective on the younger view of 'older' headliners in recent years at Glastonbury. I’ve been a fan of Springsteen for a while, but when he headlined Glastonbury in 2009 (and Hyde park the following night)a lot of my friends (20 at the time) had heard of him but couldn’t really name that many songs. I know, GET AN EDUCATION. However, fast forward

Ah Go on, much better than I thought. Lyrics are a bit simple but standings up to YGMRN as a very good foot stomper. Mick sounds great, Keith simple but catchy riff. Ah they've still got it!

Quotestonesnow QuoteAngus MacBagpipe QuoteWeLoveToPlayTheBlues QuoteMingSubu Why does this person keep making these threads? Because MightyRollin50 is a placed Stones advocate here to attempt to make people feel like/think the Stones "care"? I think you got that right - dropping hints, trying to stir up excitement, but unwittingly annoying some people in the process. He (or she)

QuoteMightyStonesStillRollin50 QuoteRocky Dijon You missed the anniversary celebration? It was amazing. They actually walked the red carpet and posed for photos together. Best of all, they never played a note of music. It was like the SHINE A LIGHT premiere all over again except this time Ronnie didn't go off the rails with a teenage Russian prostitute. Have you seen his new girlfriend? Think s

So wait, in a topic before Mightstonesstillrolling50 says, he wants them to smash U2's record. Then amazingly he gets a reliable source suddenly saying Keith said these exact words. I appreciate you think you can influence the band with these threads but its getting sad now. Lets be honest, you have no source, you just made it up.

Well I think people do care. I for one don't want to see the Stones looking too old/silly doing it. Thats not to say that I think they will if they tour 2012/13, but anytime after that, I think there could be a real risk of that happening. Unless they scaled it right down, but I think they will probably pack up after 'one more time'.

I was there...and apologies my memory is somewhat a little blurry, a few pairs of pints were had. But i did remember them saying something like. 'a lot of people are saying this is the last time we will play...i wouldnt count on it..'
