My overall impression is that it is a fantastic 'new album'. Especially the production I find impressive: the drumsound is fantastic on almost every track. One track that stands out is So Young, what I hear here is Charley in very good shape, having fun just playing the beat. I don't care how much stuff is 'new', added, reshaped or whatever, I just so much enjoy listening to the whole cd. Anoth

Hail Billy Preston!! A wonderfull musician and a beautifull man. Never appreciated how Jagger/Richards ignored him after the midseventies, probably his drugsproblems. I wish I would have been old enough to try to sort him out, when he was living here in Amsterdam. I knew he was living here, being a Stonesfan, but at that time, Amsterdam was a no go area for an adolascent. And then, he had great

Enmore Theater..... good memories! It would be fantastic to see any footage of that show. Everybody was blown away by Midnight Rambler as opening. I remember how Mick said "Welcome to all my lovers and my ex-lovers....". Marianne Faithfull was in the audianc.... I stood first row. High five with Kieth and Mick

Great evening, well organised, free drinks. The deluxde cdversion for only 20 euro. Wasnt impressed with the Undercover coverband.... The guitarplayers where great but the drummer doesnt have a snippet of Charlies 'feel'. When it's done like this, it's a bit embarrising. Anyways, then the showing of Stones in Exile. Not a lot of 'new' footage, but a lot of stills from known pics. Not exciting. Wh

finally a topic that's really interesting!Drums! As a drummer I love everything about C's roundbadge Gretsch. Been close to the kit (standing first row at the Enmore, Sydney) and was able to hear the real drumsound. Believe me; the sound we always hear comming thru the pa is not even close to the genuine sound made by Charlie. That is the snaresound. Toms are not too much processed. Bassdrum is q

The state Kieth is in, it will suprise me he wont offend someone in the audiance. I saw him up and close in NIjmegen and Madrid and believe me (we all know there is something wrong with him) but apart from that he was pissed, pissed, pissed. He was leaning on the right catwalk barrier to say hello to the crowd when his elbow slipt.....embarrissing. I've been having fierce discussions with friends

His kit is from the 50's, see the round badgde, but he hired it in the early 70's during a session with Ronnie! He liked it so much he bought it of the rentalfirm. He's been using it ever since. it;s priceless, this set. Look at the 12" tom; there's a fair bit of lacquer dammage from the snaredrum bouncing against it. You can see the dammaged side is turned towards the front. CHarlie used se

I live in Holland and a friend took it with him from America. Got it yesterday and watched the whole evening. Just one word; AMAAAAAAAAAZIIIIINGGGGG!!!!!!!! I am so happy that I got it (also because of the price, just 30 American dollars, unbelievable, what a bargain!) This stuff is so much better than the Four Flicks discs. And those where great already!Rio is just superb. Overall; great sound,

well done JET! I saw them opening for the Stones in the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, and these boys where sooooo nervous....! Had a beer with them later on in the pub on the corner (KIngstreet) and they where so lovely. NOW they are quite famous and all, but I wonder if they will still be nervous. Jet really did a great job in Sydney. And remember, the Stones opened with Midnight Rambler, weird he?

Incredible good show. I'm so glad, after Amsterdam, a year ago, i was so dissapointed and now......M so happy to be a stonesfan, because tonight was freakin' wonderful. Mick doing a encore on Sweet Virginia!!or as BV calls it; a double ending. Never, ever heard that before. Ronnie; just great, sober in shape. Kieth looks sooo old and weird, but played pretty good. It's just he aged so much in the

The secret behind Charlie's snaredrumsound is the RIMSHOT each and every stroke is a bloody rimshot; meaning, hitting the rim of the drum while hitting the skin, gives a tremendous attack. Also; skipping the 4th on the hihatt, makes the snare come out more, it's a simple trick but it does the job. I play in a stonescoverband and I try to imitate his drumming all the time. That skipping the 4th stro
