Quoteschillid JUNE 18... On June 18, 2013 the Rolling Stones will play in Philadelphia. Exactly 41 years before that, on June 18, 1972, I was fifteen years old, and had camped out overnight with a friend at the Spectrum to get tickets to see the Stones later that summer. (Still can't believe that my parents let me do that...) On June 18, the day before tickets were to go on sale, we had sta

QuoteHis Majesty Quotekleermaker A pity you can't hear the adventurous beauty of the journey Taylor shows us. A dangerous, risky journey, but oh well, exciting and daring all the way. Of course I hear some thoughtful adventurism, but I also recognise when it's just bluffing, a player uncertain of what he's doing. Seems he only needs to play some modal-esque stuff and people latch on to it a

Quoteschillid Blackdog, sorry that you couldn't make it to the show because you weren't feeling well. However it is awesome that you again surprised a fellow Stones fan by giving him/her those tickets. Hey, at least you didn't miss the Stones playong any songs with MT that you haven't heard them play already. And as I wrote above, Toronto #2 was a step in the right direction. No teeny guests

I was going to make the trip from NJ but I am not feeling well. I have hard tickets but if I called ticketmaster can I get e-tickets and email them to someone? Has anyone ever done this? I don't want to waste them. Any Mick Taylor fans? Section 117 Will check back in the morning.

Quoteflashhh To Jesse........"heads examined..." is a suggestion, not an insult. Nice try. I love the Stones, but they are not as good as they once were. The way you describe them makes you sound like a star-crossed teenager idolising their hero(s). Maybe you need to examine your priorities? Along with your head? Agree with you flashhh "Ronnie looks, acts and plays li

BV, not everyone thinks it's a competition. I understand he is a guest, but he is also a former Stone of 5 1/2 years. If the music feels good when he's out there why not let him play? After all, isn't it about the music? It's about having a good time and playing what feels good. It is clear as day the music is elevated with him on stage whether it's a solo or playing rhythm. I like what

I was at the show in Toronto. I was hoping Mick Taylor would appear for a few more songs. The concert was good in my opinion but not great. I went and got a beer during IORR. Carrie Underwood can sing but I don't understand why they need all of these guests. I am going only to see Mick Taylor. I have Chicago (31st), Toronto (6th) and both Philadelphia concerts. My take is Mick Taylor was b

QuoteDoxa QuoteBlackdog Quoteterraplane When Taylor plays, everything seems to kick up a notch. Let him play on everything. Exactly. You can feel the energy. I also get the same impression. The irony is that both Keith and Roonie play better than they have for ages, and in a way if one is used to that guitar department - as I suppose most of us have done - there should not be anything to com

QuoteMunichhilton QuoteBILLPERKS QuoteBlackdog Just checked Comcast tix. Excellent seats for Friday June 21st available. 447.00 section 115 row 15 is available. I just bought row 13. Save 150 by sitting 5 rows up. Low seat numbers are the best in this section, they will put you towards 114. Section 114 row 8 is coming up now for 600.00. I would take section 115, row 15 on the aisle 1,2 for 447.00

Quotejamesfdouglas Quote24FPS I think the three of them together is just fine. They fill holes that age is causing. And Mick T is part of the Stones DNA. He should be allowed to play on any song he can contribute to. I agree 100%. And if there is ABSOLUTLEY no room for 3 guitars... ...give Ronnie a bass and let Daryll take a break instead. I don't think Ronnie would be too happy. I doubt

Quotedrbryant I disagree with those that say Mick T is no more than a guest. The line up with Taylor was brief, but it was those years in which the Stones were, without a doubt, the world's greatest rock and roll band. And that's the key for me. Agree Whether you love him or you don't care for him they need him now. IMHO guitars are too soft without him. Hope he plays at least 3 songs. Was

Quotevermontoffender Taylor is wildly overrated, as are his supposed contributions to the band. I think the Stones would have been every bit as brilliant from '69-'74 with Ronnie in the band as they were with Taylor. That said, I'm looking forward to hearing how they work Taylor into songs other than Rambler. It could be a catastrophic mess on any number of levels. I do hope that it goes

QuoteJames Kirk Let me start off by saying that I am thrilled that the Rolling Stones have not sold out a single show in North America and they have nothing, but their never ending greed to blame for their poor ticket sales. What says rock + roll better than a $625 seat for a two hour show? Don't get me wrong, I am a life long Stones fan who would be willing to pay a premium to see the Stones
