I am amazed about the comparison between the "would you let your daughter marry a Rolling Stone" critisism of the 60s and the review of the stadium spectacles in the nineties. I always considered those parental worries of the 60s as one of the keys to their reputation. A slogan that made them the bad boys of rock 'n roll, and an advertisement for all youngsters in those years to get

Much as I like their Bo Diddley covers from the early years, I think it is kind of strange to cover such a personal song.

So no one commented on the title of this painting? I must say, I am really impressed by this painting. I was not much of a fan of his orange elephants et cetera. But this painting is really above average. Still, I am a fan of Ronnie for his musical work more than his painting. But that's just me.

I think it should be played in church. And on the beach. And at the shopping mall. In schools too. In offices all around the world. In cinema's, railway stations, sports stadiums, factories, out in the open air, and every other place you can think of. And it should be played loud! And people should be dancing. And after Sympathy for the devil, every other Stones song should be playe

Perhaps whiskers is refering to the song? That would depend on Abkco, I guess. I don't think they will.

QuoteDandelionPowderman I know he´s a nice guy and a brilliant musician, but so is Jeff Beck - and he is certainly not a good fit for the Stones. If being a nice guy was mandatory for being a Stone, then who would be a fan?

Probably the author wanted to show off his ability to come up with original titles, when every other person on earth would definitely chose Satisfaction as THE iconic Stones track from the sixties. I'd vote for the first disk of 40 licks. No need to come up with original titles. You can't get more iconic than that one.

I'd say they do a GRRRR live edition. With live recordings from their greatest songs from different shows all through the years. Something like The Who did with their greatest hits and more package.

It is interesting to speculate about what the artist wants to express with this. Enjoy!

It's recorded in Rotterdam (at least, I got it on The Lost Rotterdam Tapes). I was living only five kilometers from the place where they parked the mobile recording studio at the time. Bad thing is, I was not even remotely aware of their existence at the time. On the other hand, they weren't aware of my existence either...

Well, there was Mick in both tours. And Keith. Ronnie and Charlie as well. And for the new songs, they had at the moment, they played most of them live during both tours.

(Damn, my monday morning game is shot. I usually try to predict the song to be talked about today, but no Neighbors today).... This song has everything I love about the Stones. That sums it up for me. I had to get used to the video a bit. The way the band is presented has a bit of an Aerosmithian look. I'd rather have them in a less serious role: showing the world they're only shooting

Ah, yeah, the Quo. It was a guilty pleasure of seeing them in the Heineken Music Hall a couple of years ago. Musically it's maybe not the most inventive band ever, but you can be sure to have a great time with them on stage.

I don't mind people being religious, as long as they keep it private. Whatever one's believe, it is just no good to use it to make general rules for other people. Religion should not intervere with the lifes of people who chose not to be religious. I am rather sceptic about the role of a pope, but U must admit that the humble appearance of mister Bergoglio was touching. Meanwhile, let's
