Just got back after a very, very long drive home. To cut it short, the show last night was nothing short of SUPERB! Way, way better than the 2 BB shows I saw last year in Munich and Glasgow. Like watching a different band! The audience wasn't that lively but that really was the only minus. Due to it not being in a stadium, the sound was tremendous and it was obvious the band were enjoying themsel

Could just be he was a bit under the weather, maybe with a touch of the flu. He's not getting any younger and its no fun playing when you feel like that. I know. Added to that, there is no way they can start cancelling or postponing shows on this tour, so the band have got to be up there no matter how bad they are feeling. Keef and his various falls have been the reason for most of the cancell

Whoever said you should try before you buy was right, especially if you are going to paying out that sort of money. I've been playing a Larrivee for the last 5 years and wouldn't trade it for the world. I love the feel, the look and the sound is perfect for my style of playing. Having said that, a friend of mine swears by his Taylor which is just right for his harder approach and he finds my Larr

I've paid huge amounts to see the band before and been just as angry. This time I decided to go to Brno and was amazed to see the FOS tickets only costing €50 and normal standing at about €30. I don't understand how this works at all....it can't just be the Stones fault.....

Our Keith should have founded Public Image Limited. And I suspect the private Keith isn't that much like Keef, the Stone, at all. There's a awful lot more orange juice in the voddy, these days! However, we're talking Hollywood, here and these are the kind of stories that get the film talked about. Bums on seats, laddie, bums on seats.....

Could it be they edited RJ and SMU in from another show (Twickenham??). Knowing the boys ability to b*lls things up - thats why we love them, of course - I'd be surprised if they didn't have contingency plans for exactly that sort of mishap.

I was right beside the b-stage in Glasgow, too, and, believe me, Keith was fuming. He ditched his guitar completely, stomped around and gave his monitor a good kick. Then he remembered where he was and tried a few (less than jaggeresque) dance steps. How they got the guitar sound that good on the broadcast is a mystery but, at the show you really could only hear Ronnie. The opposite was true on

I've a feeling that a few of the songs have been cut in from another show, maybe one of the London gigs. Either that or they have been overdubbed, cos there's certainly no sign of the massive guitar problems they had on the night.

The main problem at Glasgow was a technical one - as soon as they moved to the B-stage, the guitars, or their monitors, kept packing up. Ronnies packed up on Rough Justice and a cable had to be replaced, then Keefs monitor broke down completely and he was furious - he dumped his guitar, stomped around and gave the monitor a right good kicking. After that the sound never really recovered and on Sa

No setlist whinging from me, last night. It was MAGNIFICENT!!! I'd seen the band in Munich a few weeks ago and came away feeling a bit flat - like I'd just seen a band going through the motions. But last night was very different. Great set list (even with fewer songs), and a fantastic atmosphere. OK, the sound wasn't that hot and I wouldn't want to be a guitar technician after the way the guitars

Blondie and Rickie Fataar (??) used to be very popular in South Africa and then went on to join the Beach Boys, which was where I first saw Blondie playing - on bass! Rickie then became a Ruttle and Blondie a (sort-of) Stone. He's a very talented musician and, if his record's good, I cant see any reason for not buying it. Maybe I'm just too narrow-minded.........

I'm seeing them twice on this tour, too, and I knew what the tickets cost when I bought them. If I get value for money, I wont be complaining - if I dont, I'll not be a happy bunny. I've got a suspision (spelling?), the tour was curtailed for the following reasons.... 1) Keiths fall 2) Ronnies problems 3) Ticket sales ....in that order. But they all played a role.

I AM a psychologist. And a huge Stones fan. And a musician. And, as far as I can see, all that is not working on this tour is ENTIRELY down to the band, itself. The high ticket prices, the predictable setlists, and the uninspired performances have nothing whatsoever to do with the fans. Jesus - we LOVE this band, we WANT them to play well...we know they can do it cos (I suppose) most of us here h

I don't want to hear whichever of the warhorses the band dont want to play. If their hearts not in it, it's not going to work. Easy as that.
