so this virtual tour from AEG gives you the idea of the layout (except for barriers). Of course it could be misleading.... however look where the hospitality stand is, and also the sound/video towers in front of the stage seems like the Tier 1/2 will be way off to the side if the virtual tour towers are in the right place.

Stand by your man Rose - there are sadly a few people who post here who wouldn't know how to play a piano if it was stuffed up their rear ends. Fact is Chuck is clearly highly respected as a player and more by all the band (and was by Stu if I recall right) - lets face it he's been playing with the band for 30 years - nobody does that if they don't cut it.

Lets get real here. Chuck has played with the Stones since 1982. played on solo records with Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Charlie (I think). Clearly they like him, appreciate his contribution - be that playing, organising, documenting. This band doesn't carry people - they all need to add value and be valued. Plus of course he is a really nice guy - and he can play the keyboards!! give the ma

Blondie couldn't continue to work in South Africa because of his parent's ethnicity/race. Thats why he had to leave, via the UK, eventually the the US. Remember how bad it was for non-100% white people in the depths of the apartheid days. It wasn't great in some parts of the US or UK either, because of bigoted people or the segregation stuff. Quite an journey for Blondie - would make a gre

It was fine for me - we walked out of our seats as the house lights came up and Eric Donaldson's Cheery Oh Baby started. walked to the underground, avareg pace, straight on a train and sat down - seats free when we left. Same experience all 3 shows in 2007. its all about not hanging around and being focused. then drinks in central London!

QuoteBeast After last night, all the naysayers can take a big running jump. All the guitar playing was very focused and both Keith and Ronnie did a fantastic job. Mick was the most amazingly driven bundle of energy and Charlie was loving it - full of smiles. It was all wonderful to hear and behold. I couldn't agree more!

the funny thing was that Bill slotted in to his "old" position, played virtually statically, smiled, said a few words to Keith, Ronnie, Charlie; was wound-up a little by Mick. No different than 20 years ago. Just looked his age. Mick Taylor was trailing Jagger around the stage like a lost puppy dog. Seeking the spotlight he has clearly missed. Maybe trying to emulate Jeff Beck's pres

So we had just over 2.5 hours. And apart from Rambler, no really extended versions. YCAGWYW for example was I think 7 minutes. now who said they would play for 75 minutes....

they were on stage for over 2 and a half hours - adding 2 more songs would have made it another 15 minutes. no way that was ever going to happen. I don't think it was the last start.

I watched Keith a lot last night. At the start he seemed almost nervous - well it was the first gig of "the tour". they are always a bit rusty. Not moving much; playing the rhythm. Concentrating. Playing well but constrained Someone was in the wrong key at the start of Cloud - not sure who: could have been Keith, Ronnie or even Chuck. Somewhere in the middle it was as if the

Quotegotdablouse Quotethecitadellast bit of fascinating info: I had to sign away my rights to all material filmed to Promopub NV - a Stones company. Does that mean I now have a contract with the Rolling Stones? Looks like it! Did you get to keep a copy as a souvenir? Not sure if it's been asked/mentioned before a perk wasn't being around the Stones during the shoot, is their any "present&q

No questions at all on Taylor or Wood: all more general/personal ones. And I got wet as well. In fact I may have been talking to Tomcat2006 in the video company reception. A different crew will do LA and Tokyo - maybe the same crew for NYC. last bit of fascinating info: I had to sign away my rights to all material filmed to Promopub NV - a Stones company. With so many songs rehearsed for 4 shows, can we expect an ultra-long set - maybe with a 30 minutes intermission? No support band would also suggest an extended gig.

Well the boys can afford it - I've hired it for a charity gig a few times and it is £600 incl sound and lighting and the sound/light man during the week. Great fun playing guitar, Route 66 solo a la RS 1, on the same spot as Keith in 1982 and 1986. Venue is free on 18th 19th and 21st November. Watch this space

Seeing "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" in the rehearsal list from France, thats probably another tour with an Otis Redding song. Mr Pitiful - Bigger Bang I Can't Turn You Loose - 40 Licks Thats how Strong my Love is - several tours Pain in My Heart - early tours I've been Loving you too long - I think, not just the "studio" version on Got Live if You Want It!
