Joe makes great movie songs...In The City from The Warriors, Waffle Stomp from Fast Times At Ridgemont High, and Life Of Illusion from 40 Year Old Virgin. Joe had a pretty good Rolling Stone article a few years back where he talked about hanging out with Keith Moon when The James Gang toured with The Who. Joe mentioned that Moonie gave him some pill and the next thing Joe knew it was three day

"Come and Go Blues" was off of Wipe The Windows...The Grateful Dead released a box set called "So Many Roads" a couple of years ago and on that is something called "The Watkins Glen Jam". According to the liner notes this is from the sound check and it is a 20 minute jam with some of the usual Grateful Dead improv...

I thought that Keith drank Jack because the "vapors" helped his vocal chords or something like that. Listening to him now he should've switched his brand. Like the old school pop tops of the cans. Has anyone noticed that Keith is also a fan of Coors or Coors is a fan of the Rolling Stones.

Clapton really wears his influences on his sleeves with this album...Hendrix's "Little Wing" is just monster guitar work, The solo of "Bell Bottom Blues" is a nod to Robbie Robertson's style. Nice blues with "Key To The Highway" and "Have You Ever Loved A Woman". This is one of those albums with great myth qualities with Duane Allman supposidly creating

I think that it is interesting that the group moved within genres rather quickly. The first and second albums were Morrisons acid drenched dreams while the next two moved in a lighter jazzier feel, and the last two were more rock and blues based. Plus Morrisons voice was shot by LA Woman. Sugerman's bio is more interesting when he talks about Iggy Pop as everything about Morrison was pretty m

Ronnie should put together a nice rock and roll circus and do a small tour of theaters. Nothing too big but apparently Mr. Wood is in decent shape to play music and people seem to want to see him.

Mick always seems to have an issue with people that get close to Keith. It's well known that he wasn't thrilled to have Gram Parson around. I wonder how he felt about Bobby Keys or Stanley Booth. Seems to have been fun to hang around with Ronnie in NYC during the 80's, even though this would've been the start of Ronnie's really heavy drug use. The banana thing is funny as didn't Ian Stewart te

The Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Anthology is a good one. How about Jackson Browne's Running On Empty? Recorded on stages, hotel rooms, and buses...I sure that some studio work may've gone into it but the concept was pretty different. InstaLive from Mansfeild Mass. Allamn Brothers Band 2004- opened with Mountain Jam and never stopped until they ended with Mountain Jam 2+ hours later. De

Talk about a Vegas act...that was a shell of something that was once great...Covering AC/DC? What's the matter, not sure the band could handle Guns and Roses songs? This band belongs with REO Speedwagon on the state fair circuit.

aftermath, revolver, and blonde on blonde are great albums that define the mid-60's. Rolling Stones Now, 12x5, Out Of Our Heads because the music is just that music. The boys weren't yet trying to make a statement...Satisfaction, Get Off My Cloud, 19th Nervous Breakdown are just great tunes to dance and drink to...

I just recently saw Tom Petty and while the set list was lacking the show itself was solid. Mike Campbell has been put to the front on this tour and his guitar playing was right there. There was a great little MOJO block in the middle and nice covers of Carol and Oh Well. Tom unfortunatly has to play the fav's, American Girl, Breakdown,Free Fallin'(which is my bathroom song),Runnin Down a Dream o

Perhaps Brian would've moved to Southern California where the Rolling Stones were always popular and lived in say, Laurel Canyon, found himself a decent songwriting partner, and put out minor selling bluesy albums. I think that he would have a small fan base that would pick up his music. He would have company in the Canyon with fellow Englishmen Graham Nash and John Mayall...Mayall would help with
