It isn't only loud noise that can cause tinnitus; there is a range of other potential catalysts - infection, viruses, dental work, medications, head injury; however, noise-induced tinnitus and hearing loss is probably the most preventable. I woke up one morning 7 years ago with loud tinnitus in one ear. I hadn't had any dental work, illness, medication, head injury or noise exposure. I have ha

Quotebv The Glastonbury experience will be most interesting. I will start the travel early week, Wednesday, be on a coach in UK by Thursday 4am, then spend four - 4 - days on a field so that I can get 2 hours or so of the Stones. Isle of Wight was easy. Glastonbury will be harder. But when I am back home Sunday evening and dried up, it will be all worth it, and the week after I will tell my grand

I'd love to know how Mick Taylor is feeling right now. It must surely be incredible for him to be reprising his role on stage with the RS after so many lost decades, and to be receiving so much attention and praise. Not to mention the huge injection of cash into his bank account, which must be like winning the lottery. Looking at yesterday's gorgeous photos of him and Ronnie and Bernard, he do

>>>What goes far beyond the technical aspect is the attitude of these old rockers. They are old, out of date, but, as band, they still rock hard as hell. Its like the last charge of Italian cavalry in Russia during wwii: swords against machine guns, but ahead they go!

So lovely to see the obvious affection between Ronnie and Mick Taylor. Ronnie must have a huge heart to be happy about all the (deserved) attention and praise Mick is getting.

That oversized houndstooth jacket and hat make me cringe with embarrassment. But I love the simple black shirt and black trousers Mick has been wearing on this tour, reprising what he wore on the 1969 tour. L'Wren is so elegant and beautiful - a real goddess.

Before you judge, put yourself in Angelina's place. Imagine you had an 87% chance of contracting the disease which killed your mother. Would you ever get into your car if you knew there was an 87% chance of being in a serious accident if you did? I imagine that none of us here has six children, but we can all understand that someone who chose to have so many, including adopted ones, must REALLY l

Quoteemotionalbarbecue Hypothesis: MT was expelled from the band. Keith was at the time in the peak of his addiction. Taylor could become a problem becouse of the same reason. Two guitar players with two big problems. Jagger could not evidently get rid of Keith so MT was expelled. No one would acknwoledge it as everyone could be get harmed. The "I leave" story is ilogical but harms

Tom - speaking as someone who lives in Italy, the home of great coffee... 1. Get your teeth whitened professionally 2. Get a Philips Sonicare electric toothbrush with a polishing setting 3. Ditch the Listerine and get 20% hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash - it protects your gums and keeps your teeth white. Hold it in your mouth whilst you are in the shower or shaving. I know this metho

For anyone thinking Angelina is now pitifully mutilated, it is not the case. Following this type of operation, breasts are reconstructed with implants, and the results are beautiful. (My friend had this.)

Keith had his first major dental restoration in 1974. I don't think they had implant technology back then; he would have gotten crowns and bridgework. He may have just upgraded them over the years as technology improved. It isn't obvious to me that he has implants, but he may have well replaced completely missing teeth with them, and gotten rid of the bridgework. I don't know why his denta

Well, Doxa, perhaps you don't realise it, but you are indeed coming across as a big black raincloud. Go over the list of your recent posts. Someone else above commented that you seem tired of the Stones, so it isn't just me. Maybe you just need to pull your horns in and realise that your negative pronouncements are reaching a wide audience, and really serve no purpose. There is no time machine ba

Doxa, your posts have been consistently negative regarding the Rolling Stones for quite some time now. If you can't find anything to value in their output or performances, maybe it's time to direct your energy elsewhere. I think it's fair to say they are doing their best. Would you be happier if they offered the world nothing following the Bigger Bang tour? It's a shame you are now so disillu

As Keith said, following the release of Exile - "They will buy the new album and listen to it, but no album can be as great as the one you heard on the magical night you screwed fifteen chicks". So yes, it's you, not them.

The RS should not be biting the pudgy hands of those who have been feeding them the last 50 years. If you are pushing 70, chances are your audience will be 60+.

If you want to be really happy, you need to take it a giant step further - somehow manage to see the beauty and value in the RS's performance that they hadn't yet achieved when they were younger. Surely half a century of growing, living, suffering and loss, even for these jaded multi-millionaires, has added some new richness and depth and patina to their music. If you could somehow let go of your
