QuoteRockman Fred Segal Feet ..... so that means Ronnie was in Melrose Ave .... Yes, but the Strip is more or less on the other side of Fairfax, sure you know that anyway.

Quotebv Not really. They don't stay inn LA when they perform in SF and so on. Didn't they do that though on one tour? Based themselves out of the Ritz Carlton in Dana Point, I believe it was.

Recording sessions were nice with Taylor. My beef is that he wasn't a part of the rhythm section like Jones; Taylor, more or less, listens to the rhythm section then adds over it, ala a lead guitar player. Didn't sit right with me. In the Stones, rhythm is lead.

Are the Stones staying put in Los Angeles for the California and Vegas shows? If so, they have been here for quite some time now.

Quotetomcasagranda Anaheim ? That's where most of Overtures & Beginners, the worst-ever live album, by The Faces was recorded. I also think most of Dylan & The Dead comes from an Anaheim gig. Yes, the Faces themselves have said so. Several years ago, Mac said he wanted to correct that and release a dynamite live record by the Faces. Mac says he has hours of great live Faces stuff and

I was not there, but I imagine the 70 European tour and the 71 UK tour must have been wonderful. In any event, you can never beat anything with Brian Jones.

QuoteLong John Stoner What a dumb, stupid, irrelevant piece of crap. As one commenter correctly said, as far as the Zumanity comment went- get your facts straight, Zumanity isn't even open, much less can anyone find Keno on the strip right now. Hey kids, here's a review of the Stones where we attacked the attendees as old, fat and poorly dressed. What an idiot. Of course. What do you exp

Quotejammingedward Who on Earth wants to hear 'You Got Me Rocking'? My guess is not a single person. Why do they continue to play it? Because it's a good song.

QuoteGlammy All his cymbals do sound like shit in my opinion. He uses china cymbals as a crash, thin ride cymbals (which are usually used in jazz combos) while he plays rock, and now he doesn't even play a proper ride cymbal anymore but uses a crash cymbal for that matter. All these odd choices doesn't make him sound better. Watching him play makes me sick. He's stiff, there is no swing or groove

QuoteJumpinJeppeFlash Great set! People are never satisfied here and i'm very happy they only use MT on one song. He is a guest and nothing more. Looking good for future shows. Someone needed to say it. As far as the set list, it was a greatest hits show. It has been written that the Stones are not touring behind an album. Well, it looks like they are touring behind Grrr! That said, it is o

I really hope the Stones keep this in the setlist for the rest of the tour... such a great, great song! A really nice surprise indeed. That was awesome! Wish they'd try more "new" stuff - this shows they can pull it off. Granted that's a phone recording, but I think t

Quoteflacnvinyl Change the subject of the first message/thread title to 'Does anyone have a video of Little Queenie from Echo?'. I want to know too! Little Queenie is the one song I have been wanting to hear forever! If they play it in Chicago I will be thrilled beyond belief. I search everyday for a Queenie vid. Something will show up eventually.... I guess.

I'm not so certain Taylor quit. I mean, yeah, he did, but he saw the handwriting on the wall with Keith and Ronnie constantly together and playing together. Act Together.

BTW half of the Licks tour versions were butchered by an over lubricated Keith. Check them out. The groove will be back...............This is a rehearsal gig. sc uk The Stones should be able to nail Brown Suga

Quotebam Very cool. But the tempo seems a bit slow to me. Is it just my imagination? Do any of you more musically inclined folks know how many beats per minute they used to play this at, as against the current version. Historically, the tempo is slow at the beginning of tours. It picks up as the tour goes on. Let them find their groove. That's what it's all about. Can't beat the rhythm d
