True, I was there, but OTOH, to be fair, I felt the crowd energy waning when Wild Horses was followed by Dead Flowers (good rendition though, with Paisley), through to the start of Midnight Rambler. ER was good for some of us. I think maybe at times there's not as much difference in hard core fans as more casual fans, except we here usually do like the obscure songs, or less-regularly played on

Tony, I'm so glad you enjoyed them. I caught about an hour of their set and thought they outdid themselves and had the crowd going pretty good, huh? ::dodging the raindrops on the way over there::

Thanks to everyone posting about the June 18 show in this topic. I feel lucky to have been there, and jealous of those going to Philly 2. If you hear CYHMK, will you think of me for just a moment? I was praying we'd get it last night, ah, well, great crowd, and much energy from the band, plenty good.

Makes no difference in seat assignments. Great to see a few of you in Philly. What a Stones town, eh? I understand now. If that was my last show, and it may be, I can go out happy.

Third show of this year, best crowd of all, I thought. Midnight Rambler was timed at 15 minutes, tremendous!! I think they did start a little late. Ketih did seem energized, Mick happier than usual, came around the tongue rim many times. Yes, Chicago 2 setlist was far superior. I think they did start a little late. Hoping Philly 2 gets a great show--I won't be there though <sniff>

I'm hoping for it *tonight*, Philly 1. It could happen--if not, then second Philly or DC, for you all.

Hi, thatbird. Hey, everyone, please have a great, great show tonight!!! I'll be there. Wish I was in the pit with thatbird, bv, and all!!! Let's see where my 85 is. Nice running into you bv! Later, all...if you go to xFinity for Glimmer Twins, I will try to be near the front, on "Keith's" side, black cowboy hat.

Hey, CindyC, thanks for telling us what happened. Two for four, well, not too horrible. There may be another chance for you to go in the future. You were so sweet to your son and took care of him so very well, as others have said. I'll be thinking of you in Philly tonight, wishing you could be there.

Just chiming in to repeat what many others have said, more Mick Taylor! Oh, yeah. Having seen a few shows now, I think Mick J knows that he's bringing excitement to the stage.

Got my local library to order it so they checked it out to me. I'm reading it now and then will go back and review the coments, and react. Yes, she was a bit of a wild child to start.

Me, Chcago 2. I'm sure there are many who didn't. That doesn't rule out self-upgrade. I think people report the best news, on the whole, on seating.

Thanks stonesrule. Some of the chapters might be of interest to some people. I'm sure the price of the hard copies will go down over time. Here is a very nice blurb written by Bill German (gotta love 'em) about the book: "Keith Richards once told me that rock 'n' roll can only be appreciated below the neck. He may have had a point. But after 50 years of shaping our culture's att

Peter, thanks so much for posting. Just to add, the Table of Contents is available on Amazon and Lexington Books, with a sample chapter on Amazon. At Amazon: Lexington Books I also see it at Google Books. Hey, Rockman and with sssoul, thanks. with sssoul, I like it too, very much, done by an artist Hannes Widmann, known by our editor, Helmut Staubmann. What's nice too is the

QuoteNICOS For me there is one line that irritate me a bit ........when he sings in "Thank you for your wine, california" and I hear "Thank you for your wine, gattophoneyou" I like that one! Really, most of the Mick-isms don't bother me either, like you, latebloomer. I guess if he said my name wrong or pronounced it way off, it would, if we were really close. Right

I think Keith's book also documented that they haven't been close in a long, long time. OTOH, there may be some space between never look at each other onstage or interact at all, and have a really warm friendly relationship in all respects. It *is* interesting that Keith's quotes are coming to resemble Mick's more now. He still expresses more feeling about the whole thing though, whether

Quotebv Every final bow is the same. Mick is totally wasted. I do know the feeling when you have just finished a half marathon run in approx two hours on time and you made it great, and you timed your energy right. Spending the last bit of energy on Satisfaction. Mick does his final bows on Ronnie side. He is still a zombie from his energy boost on Satisfaction. He takes the bow out of routin

Did anyone there notice a problem with sound distortion through the whole show, especially for the side seats? Just to note, I was suprised how great the sound was in the United Center from the back of the hall. With the MGM Grand, I expected good sound and got it.

Thanks for that, elunsi, Keith also says right after that, "...but we could definitely sit down and go, 'Let's go in the back room... I've got this song'. "I've always found working with Mick is like a joy, it's a real pleasure. It's outside of the realm of work is where we tend to disagree."
