It would appear there are some bugs in the ticketmaster site. Minutes later it now says there are 166 dollar tickets available, but when I clicked on them it said there were none left.

Interesting glitch, when I selected the 266 dollar tickets it some how automatically switched the price to 466$ even though that wasn't an option... this seems very shady. Please someone at the show let us know how full the place is when you get there,

At this moment ticketmaster claims there are only 266 and 624 dollar tickets available. Looks like me waiting until the last minute didn't pan out. I wonder if many will bite at the last minute for those pricey seats?

I just did a ticketmaster search for tickets for tonight's show in Toronto. The exact same pair of tickets showed up in the 624$ dollar range that showed up yesterday morning when I searched. I'm guessing that means not a single 624$ ticket sold yesterday. My hope is there is a last minute ticket price drop today at some point and I can scoop up some cheapies.

Alright so I missed my chance at the 85 tickets for Toronto. Checking on ticket master, the show is not sold out and tickets are still available at the 600, 400 and 200 dollar mark. Not sure if this was the case with other shows too, but doing quick ticket searches for each price range it would appear that very good seats are still available in each price bracket. This is simply a hypothesis, b

Hey Guys, I'm from Ontario and thought I would pass on seeing the Stones this time around. Ticket prices were a big factor as cash is quite tight these days. I checked on ticketmaster and see that the 266, 466 and 624 dollar tickets are all still available, I'm curious if 85 tickets have been announced yet? If so, anyone know where the link is? I would consider going for 85 bucks but couldn't

I would imagine the booing the Stones/Justin Timberlake took when performing in Toronto in 2003 is still in the heads of the Stones and they wouldn't even attempt to bring in Bieber. Even if they did you can bet the band would be hyping it up sooooo much for more publicity prior to the show.

Too much? In this man's books I felt no. An entire show of that energy with the Stones would be too much. But for just one song, to be on stage for 4 minutes you want to convey what you are about as a guest. In Dave's case it is energy. He did that well. If they invite a guest up to just blend in and not add anything unique to the mix it would make me question why they would bother to have a gu

I could picture Emily Hanes from Metric, the band is quite big in Canada. Fingers crossed that they get Gord Downie from the Tragically Hip, another example of a band that is massive in Canada but little known elsewhere.

Just curious if there has been any buzz about possible guests for the upcoming Toronto shows? So far the shows have had considerable star power. I can't picture who they would get other than possibly someone from Rush? The biggest Canadian names I could think of wouldn't gel with the Stones and the really cool Canadian bands likely aren't on the Stones radar, nor would they add the star pow

I must fully back what Dave Grohl says in that brief clip for the Lemmy trailer. Look at those who live the 'image' of the rough edged rocker and look at who actually lives it. Look who makes music and tours constantly and look at who relies on re-invigorating their past and relying on others. I do love Keith as a musician and song writer, But the man has issues with being a caricature of who

This tune is my favourite that he ever recorded. It is a Gordon Lightfoot cover, but it just hits right for me.

The segment from the movie on youtube is all I can find of this incredible tune. This song truly sounds like it could be one of the best mod-singles of all time. However I can't find a complete version other than the newly recorded one from 2011 which doesn't have the same edge. Can anyone help me find an original full length copy of the song?

As far as Stones content goes... Undercover. Laughed at it the first few times, but fell in love with She Was Hot and the next thing I knew I was digging the whole album. Other bands... Joy Division. The first time I heard Ian Curtis's voice I thought "I can't believe someone let him sing... and I can't believe people worship these guys." Next thing I knew they became my favouri

I rarely complain about the stones. I don't think YGMR was a poor choice of a song, but how it came across was unfortunate. It lacked the rocking balls that Jumping Jack Flash had. Their performance and the sound of YGMR may have tainted their appearance to the masses... a pity considering how good many other songs have seemed recently according to youtube clips from shows. You have to remember

As someone who has worked in radio for the last 7 years... it will show up on some Classic Rock and Classic Hits stations for the next week. Two weeks from now, it will never be heard of again. It might 'chart' but it won't result in any more airplay. I could go into all of the reasons why, but watch and tell me if I am right in two weeks time.

i know it won't happen in a million years... but i would love steve albini to record them. if anyone could bring rawness back to the band's sound... it would be him. he captures the sound of a band in a room. no slickness... just records the way it sounds in the room. listen.

depends on the act and what they are about. i saw ween last summer, they played a little over 3 hours and it hardly felt like it. we all wanted more. i saw pearl jam a few years back and they played for almost 3 and a half hours. the crowd would have taken more if they had been willing. i saw stompin tom connors a few weeks back and an hour and a half was perfect for what he brings to

as a bass player the two things that jump out to me are bill's live playing in the 70s (especially 72-73) ... he does all sorts of runs that aren't on the albums and really baffle me. and i love the miss you bass line... the prototypical disco bassline which has one of the best melodies for bass ever.

i can't find the link right now... but there was a video that floated around a few years back showing how ridiculous backmasking is. they showed how the random sounds produced by listening to the lyrics backwards were informed by what you were looking for or trying to hear. they played a clip from a song and showed how you could hear about 20 completely different sentences... truth be told, as yo

so on the side i dj... usually weddings, stag and do's, parties etc. tonight i dj-ed a dance for a bunch of 12-14 year olds. so i started playing the 'dancy club pop' stuff they are into. i noticed mick jagger's name was rhymed swagger in 3 different songs. interesting to me that name dropping mick jagger is cool in 2011's electro-pop music scene.
