from a link of the expectingrain.com homepage to a tampa bay paper interview promoting the new DOORS book by Greil... One of the things that makes Marcus' response to music and literature so refreshing is its unpredictability. For example, unlike just about everyone else, he is no fan of Keith Richards' as-told-to-James-Fox memoir, Life. "I was really disappointed," he said. "

RollingStone.com: This month, Keith Richards will meet fellow Rolling Stones Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts in a London studio. "We're just going to play a little together, because we haven't played for three or four years," Richards says. "You don't necessarily want to rehearse or write anything – you just want to touch bases. That's a good start: me, Charlie and Ronnie. Mick'

from rollingstone.com -------------------------- Have you hung out with Keith Richards? Yeah, man, I’ve hung out with him and Ronnie Wood a couple of times. One time in particular just absolutely blew my mind, when Mötley Crüe was opening for the Stones. The Stones guys sent their tour manager in to come and grab me, 'cause I wanted to say hello to the guys. This is literally five minute

Not sure if this has been posted here yet. Great song, with a mention of drinking wine "with Kings & the Rolling Stones" Check out the monster guitar solo coming in around 1:30. This guy has still got it at 74 Years Young.

Thanks everybody, will do. Great album this bonus disc is. I'd trade ABB for it anyday.

Hey there, just wondering if there is a page anywhere that tells which parts were newly recorded for the re-issue. I just listened to SO DIVINE and Keith's solo is just horrendous, and obviously newer, as it's the same solo he plays on every song in the SHINE A LIGHT movie. Anyway, I'd love to have a reference tracksheet of the newly added parts. Thanks!

Oh man, this is a serious blow. I watched SO MANY of your vids all the time. Such a treasure. Thanks so much for you efforts and it was not in vain, many people got hours of enjoyment from your work.

www.marqdesouza.tumblr.com Hey everyone. Please check out my studio recorded pseudo-cover song with a twist at the address above. A bit of backstory: A friend gave me the idea of using songs from a specific classic album as a grid, & writing new words, using the original lyrics as a jumping off point. If a record has a performance history, then musically, alternate arrangements through

From the JAMMIN WITH EDWARD album, with Ry Cooder. This ELMORE JAMES cover was basically used by Dylan as a template for PLEDGING MY TIME from BLONDE ON BLONDE. Here, Jagger (I think it's him singing?) does Elmore's verse first, then a verse from Bob's tune.

This is so funny. I had TATTOO YOU on my IPOD for the first time, first time I'd even listened to the album in years. My first thought was that the production was perfect! Such a lively, deep sound. Highs are crisp and the bass is rumbly. Much better that the one dimensional, digital harshness of ABB.

That was absolutely staggering! Thanks for posting. Never had heard this. THey did it at the PARADISO shows in 1995 I think too.

I totally agree with all of your post. It's hard to see the goodwill the band has squandered with it's hardcore fanbase. The LICKS tour seemed to be such a fun, great way to celebrate. After that, they could've really cemented the next phase of their legacy, but chose to blow it.

Unfortunately, I agree with most postings here. They've really damaged their legacy over the last decade.

It's funny how the bossman Jann Wenner couldn't muscle enough to get GODDESS IN THE DOORWAY onto the top100 albums of the decade list. Either that, or he was too embarrassed by his original five star over the top review that he just wanted to forget about it. At the time, it seemed like his was one of the few positive reviews, and not only positive, but so gushing that it read like a paid ad. Al

Hey everyone. Not sure how I stumbled upon his site, but I ended up checking out all the available audio and video of the new CHRIS JAGGER album, and was really suprised by how much I liked it. It seems like really honest, from the heart music from someone who knows the form and respects his roots. Not flashy or trying to be a superstar. Would love it if his bro would strip the layers away and do

We hear so many conflicting reports about his shows lately, this sounds like it was a good one... Chuck Berry Rocks His 149th Monthly Show at St. Louis Restaurant Blueberry Hill On Sunday, rock & roll pioneer Chuck Berry will turn 83. It’s a respectable enough age for kicking up one’s heels and taking it easy, but Berry’s got a still-active touring schedule, and the duck-walking

Luckily they gave up on it, but I don't know why RAIN FALL DOWN was ever even tried. That awards show version was possibly the worst appearance they ever gave on tv.

I'm half joking here, as it's not really a valid comparison. But check out Bob from a good quality video from a show last week. He's played barely any guitar onstage for the last 5 or so years. This year, he's got a new guitar and slightly different tone than previous years, and a seemingly even more idiosyncratic style than before. He plays like he sings or blows harp.
