sure he plays the same licks all the time but he plays em so good.. its not about the notes, its about the sound and keith has the meanest leanest guitar sound of em allllllllllllllllllll. now if you cant enjoy that, well thats too bad

true stones magic... I think its one of their best tracks, top 15. It's countryfunk!!!! they invented a new genre with this song how is that not brilliant? And i do not get how you like the stones and dislike this song Its a monster groove..

you have to let go... of what you have done sofar learn more songs and see what gives you a hard on.. dont think of marketing....AT ALL! get excited about music...not fixated on making it Start to REALLY LISTEN to the greats: stones, neil young, dylan, springsteen, petty, kate bush, joni mitchell, and all the rest of 'em, you know who they are. slow down ur ambitions, let free ur e

Over you and wrong for me are working at least at some levels. Most importantly they have tension and make me wanna listen through the song. There are still some rythm issuess here and there i feel on over you, that beginning riff could be real strong if you work that out. (it's almost there) The rest of the songs don't work for me at all. It's too much copying and way to blend and sweet

jesus that darryll ennoys the shit out of me with that nervous bass. Its way too forced imo. Hes no bill wyman, not even close... the stones never really rolled again when bill left. Jagger feels darryll bass breathing down his neck and it has a totally different effect on him then bills bassplaying. He could groove and relax on that and he sounded inspired more often then not. Now he just

majesty, its in there! listen closely and youll hear. I bet you would notice if he played it differently..... Anyway, like i said , its very subtle and very powerfull. He uses this technique in a lot of his riffs... for example: live with me,dancin with mr d, bitch, Listen to the riff of hoochie coochie man... The first note, thats what i mean. But dont take my word for it i dont c

The riff itself is not so simple as one might think... you hear: da da...da da da- da da da-da da da , 3 notes right? the underlined notes are actually notes where keith bends the string downward to get to the note. the same way hoochie coochie man is played (for example) He does it very fast so its bearly noticable but it gives the riff its jumpy, bouncy, bluesy edge. The riff is imo t

nevermind (that guy actually did blow his head off). No, it's just you kind of contradict yourself that's all. Plus your response doesn't add anything but a kind of crappy poopie like negativity wich i'm not a big fan off.

I was watching a stones concert on german tv last saturday, it was the from the us leg of the bigger bang tour, I think it was Austin ( could this be?) Anyway,i've been a bit blase with the stones for a while, as their sound has been the same for quite some time. I also saw them in nijmegen not long ago, but due to the rain i was totally soked, cold and shivering the whole concert wich i must

I've quit for the tenth time and haven't smoked for 5 months now. This time I'm definitaly not starting again, ever. My girlfriend still smokes and the whole house reekes of it. It smells like burned sugar with a little hint of fresh dogshit... truly disgusting imo. Nicotine is a really nasty drug (more addictive than heroine) and smokers are real junkies, it will rob you of your ambition, your

Aint that the nastiest most hard rocking sound you ever heard in your life? The way it kicks off gives me chills every time. Superbad! especcially considering the circumstances.

hey open-g: I do consider your playing as very nice. You obviously have the talent for making a guitar sound sweet, plus you got nice timing. consider yourself lucky i'd say. Got some electric for us too?

with the everlasting come on's, oh yeah's, let me tell ya's before every chorus. Has he no faith the rest of the band know the changes in the songs? I'm sure most of the concertgoers don't hear and don't care, but it's starting to really irritate me. Listening to sway, I hear no involvement from mick at all He rushes through the song, basically just trying to get it over with. I think that's

I awe, I feel, I touch.........and I still suck! Now ain't that a bitch. Even great musicians like keith don't know where it comes from, they just grab it and play with it. I don't think there's any spiritual effort involved or any of that mambo jambo. A magnet does't 'feel'but still it attrackts. Musicians don't feel any deeper than average people, they probably feel much lighter since the
