Turns out they are two versions of the same original with one being much better than the other.

I have two versions of the show, both audience recordings. I don't upload shows but if you live in the U.S. and post your email I will contact you. I would be glad to send you a CDR copies for nothing in return.

This recording is an example of the videos made of every show for a specific purpose. Intellectual property right laws require that for a performance to be protected it must exist in the form of a tangible medium. I.E. If the Stones record it and keep a copy of the recording, then they can go after people who record and distribute the show. If the Stones never recorded the show, and someone els

We're getting 22 of the 24 songs performed over the two days, so that's a winner for Stones fans. My only remaining wish for the audio is that on Connection they cut out the voice overs that ruin the song in the film. Based on what they did on Stripped, the precedent is not looking good for my wish. A full version of I'm Free will be a treat, and a second soundboard release of Little T&A

When someone knows the set list, please post it. I read from a post of someone who had a sneak peak of 20 minutes that As Tears Go By and Just My Imagination are included. The trailer gives away about six songs. I hope Connection makes it.

I always thought Mick and Keith wrote The Last Time by themselves and since they thought it to be good enough to present to the band as a future Stones song, they did so. I think Mick is quoted as saying it was the first song they wrote which they thought to be worthy of being recorded by the Stones.

"Unplugged" WAS released, at least on audio. Unfortunately I bought a cassette tape of it instead of a CD. The entire, "unplugged, uncut" is available on audio bootleg, and it is fantastic. It includes songs not broadcast, like re-takes at the end of the show.

Come on guys! I just listened to All Down the Line from San Francisco, October 17, 1981 and it's too damn fast. Of all the songs played during the pre-1989 tours Street Fighting Man is the worst. It is absolutely too fast and terrible in all respects. Live versions of both songs from 1995 to present are much, much better.

There is an audience video of Slane. It was shot from the floor, front-right, about 60 degrees from center.

It's All Over Now was one of the highlights of the entire 2005-2007 tour, with Keith's opening riff true to the studio version from the early sixties.

Overdubbing happens on everything the Stones release so no big deal. I love the way Under My Thumb came out. It's the best "live" version around. The vocals are an attempt at the studio version, close to the 1997 live performances, and the guitar is more raw, close to the 1981 performances. As far as I know, there is no audience recording of Austin circulating, so it's hard to tell

It's not what they like to play, but rather what the people who buy the tickets want to hear, and that isn't anything they recorded after Start Me Up.

No contest. Paul McCartney. I've been to three of them on three different tours and loved every second of each one. Next best was The Dave Clark 5 who performed with the Young Rascals and Lou Christy in 1965.

Lots of Americans can't write in English either. Besides, you can be approximate and get by. For example, if you write "I've come to fill your hole with soap", we'll all know you meant "I've come to fill your soul with hope". :-)))

Yes they did. You can hear it on the R&R Circus rehearsals and the perfomance. You can also hear attempts at it on the Dead Man Cumming Steel Wheels tour rehearsals and several of the earliest shows in the 1989 tour. Keith should bring this back. It's a great part of the song. In 1995 he brought back a closer to the original intro for Street Fighting Man than they did earlier in the t

As I understand it overdubbing was rather essential on At the Max. Imax technology has oversized film with a very small number of frames per reel. The Stones released a documentary of filming At the Max, and if memory serves they clearly alluded to the need to film after the fact. For example, the close ups of Keith at the start of Street Fighting Man are recreated. My guess is most of the up

I'm not sure what sweetcharmedlife's point is. It's not like the Stones canceled a public gig to go private instead. Or, are you suggesting the Stones should do 20,000 private gigs so every loyal fan can get up close? What exactly is your issue with their doing a private show? I have a serious issue with them, and that is that the elite attendies don't have enough sense to bring along

I would have never 'met' a dozen or so really great people from all over the world who I've had the pleasure of trading and communicating with on the subject of the Stones. These are some of the coolest, warmest, and most generous folks on the planet, and some of them I've never actually seen or spoken a word with. Also, since for the most part I've only listened to Beatles and Stones for the

If it was played, apparently it sucked, because they dropped it. Or maybe Taylor couldn't handle it live. I like Ronnie's version just fine, and Mathijs does a fine job on it himself.

Macca has filled many stadiums including crowds over 100,000. He did the club tour thing in 1992, and was one of the first to do 'unplugged'. He is on stage for more than two hours, and performs about four songs with no backup vocals or instruments .
