A great review Simon. Great to meet you in person and I'm glad us locals helped you have a good night. I have some pics from the gig which I'll upload when I get some time. Currently working on the audio.

Many headliners at Glastonbury have clauses that prevent the live broadcast of their full set. HOwEVER The Who's full set was shown live......because I was recording it and kept waiting for them to cut away....they didn't. Coldplay and Beyonce were broadcast in full a couple of years ago. Springsteen's set was butchered with just over half the songs shown. I suspect that the Stones

First saw Graham Parker 36 years ago at the Glasgow Apollo (March 19th 1977 if I recall correctly). A great gig with Southside Johhny and the Asbury Jukes supporting. Loved his first two albums but then drifted away. It's great to see the cuurent upsurge in interest (due to the new GP+R album - which I have on CD and sounds pretty good). Thought the documentary was great - especially

Ordered on Sky TV in the UK - HD for £9.95. It's currently 1.35 a.m. (on the 16th) and I'm flagging......I appear to be able to record it via Sky+ because I've set it to record and the wee red icon has appeared on my planner.......but can't bring myself to go to bed because I want to watch live! I know it should be alcohol but I feel a strong coffee coming on!

QuoteNaturalust How the hell did they pull off Baba O' Riley without Pete? Was there another guitarist sitting in? For the past 10 years Pete's brother Simon has played guitar (very low in the mix) on stage with the band. He also was in Roger's recent touring band. They just turned his guitar up in the mix as can nbe heard in the videoas of Baba O'Riley from the other night.

1976 : paid £3.50 (no booking fees then!) to see The Stones in Glasgow, Scotland in a 3,500 venue (all tickets were the same price) Just put that figure into an inflation calculator - 2012 equivalent - around £24.00

I watched the "press" conference on-line. It was just Pete and Roger being asked questions by one guy.....more like an interview than an actual press conference. PT was asked if his book would contain anything about RD similar to the KR comment about Jagger. Both RD and PT found the question amusing and began having a laugh about it. Pete's comment about Jagger was tongue in

The saddest part for me was towards the end when Pete read out a letter he had written in 1973.......don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen the programme yet......but if you have seen it it you'll know the part I mean.

Watched the whole show. Sadly many of the "heritage" acts are now showing signs of vocally ageing. Both Elton and Macca struggled - saw both live recently and when you are at their gigs you don't notice the vocal problems so much - due to a combination of atmosphere, alcohol and sound mix. On TV, with an unforgiving mix, they both were clearly struggling.....as was Stevie Wonde

Sounds like a great demo to me. I imagine alot of folk who post here have been in bands over the years and there will be a wealth of recordings like yours (I know I have many). Bands playing original material tend to run out of steam after a few years when the big break doesn't happen. Hopefully you are still playing even if only for your own enjoyment! (I'm currently sitting at my P

QuoteJustin QuoteCBII How many times have you seen someone from the audience not only just jump on stage but the artist STOPPING security from throwing them off? Giving a fan some That was damn cool of Chuck. Is it just me (hopefully not) but does Chuck actually play better when he was interacting with the guy on stage? Sounds to me that CB raised his game.

Quotefilstan I listened a short while ago to the BBC2 radio interview with the band that aired yesterday afternoon. Really fun to hear the guys talking about the gigs and playing together again. For those interested the interview is in the last 25 minutes or so of the Johnnie Walker sounds of the 70's show. Maybe this link will work There is a You Tube link to this earlier on in this thread
