To me the interesting part of Katy Perry guesting on Beast of Burden is that I'm pretty sure she's never even heard this song before that night. Beast of Burden was a monor "hit" when it was released in 1978. Katy Perry was born 6 years later in 1984. If she became even slightly cognizant of pop music at around the age of 12 that would be 18 years after it was released. Personnally I ca

QuoteBitchKeepsBitchin Not any more, I used to when I was younger. One time at a Philly show I got too wasted when someone passed around winesack filled with wine tainted with LSD and Angel Dust and I drank a bunch of it and barely remember the concert. Those were the wild days, lol. Now we hardly see people lighting up joints inside the venues due to the no smoking rules. But a mild buzz seems

I did NOT forget. In fact I was going to start a thread complaining that this was supposed to be the tour where they had the Brian Jones hologram performing on stage. Did we get that? NO!

Quotefleabitmonkey At the risk of sounding "GREEDY" I think for the money we are laying out the show should be 3 hours long with an additional 3 to 4 songs that should include Mick Taylor. Love in Vain, CYHMK, Rocks Off, Sway, Winter and Bitch. Come on Mick pick 4 and invite the ONLY guest we want to see Mick Taylor... join The Band for some extended play! Right On, Right On, Right O

Quotegreenriver QuoteFrankM Holy moly. If some people here added up all the time they spent whining and griping about ticket prices they could spend that time working a part time job and could afford plenty of tickets. Problem solved. Thant doesn't work if you are chinese. They already work 24 hours a day for less than peanuts. I was wondering how long it would take for someone to bring the Chi

The prices are, indeed, ludicrous. But the real problem is that most Rolling Stones fans are so @#$%& old they just don't give a shit about going to see them any more, or any other act for that matter. Plus they just don't have the energy it takes to go through all the bullshit. AND if they've already seen them several times you can multiply that factor by about a hundred.

Sounds perfectly logical to me. 10,000 rabid Stones fans inconvenience themselves for one fan who can't control his internet addiction. Better yet, why don't you ask BV to simply shut down the entire Website until after the Vegas show. I don't think that's asking too much.

Yes. You definitely are. Could you imagine having to live off her record sales royalty checks! I pitty the company or corporation who owns her recording catalog. Oh, Thats Right! She owns her OWN catalog because no one else in their right MIND would WANT to own it.

They play too loud in concert. It literally hurts my ears. They should cut the volume down 25% and it would sound much better.

Charlie ain't all that. Ringo is much better. Bill Wyman is probaly the most boring bass player I've ever heard. Voodoo Lounge is their best album since Taylor left. Steel Wheels was their best tour. This website just looks bad. Keith looks like shite. Only Mick Taylor can save this band (musically) Mick has terrible taste in women. (much more to come)

If I had to guess from the spotty reports coming in I'd say the odds are high that this was an Al Queda plot hatched in the Tribal Areas of Pakistan and carried out by foreigners (Saudi's etc.) trained in AQ camps in the Tribal Areas as well. What doesn't make sense is that we've let it be known to the Paks et.al.that any terrorist attack with origins in Pakistan would mean a possible U.S. invasi

Since we have a Doors thread going I thought I'd ask a few Doors questions for any Doors "experts" out there : Did The Doors ever use a live bass player in concert? (I'm thinking they used a studio musician to play bass on some of the recordings. Correct me if I'm wrong on that. But I don't think they ever used a bass player live.) Were there ever any backing vocals on a Doors son

I became a big fan of Bowie AND Ronson upon hearing Ziggy Stardust and absolutely loved Ronsons studio work. However it became apparent to me after hearing and seeing the last Spiders show in London AND hearing the recent release of Live in Santa Monica '72 that Ronson's live work was much more shambolic than the studio stuff. Probably because he's trying to do the Hendrix trick of playing rythm

Chris may be right. He'd certainly fit in here at IORR. But every time I see or here anything about this guy he's being a complete ass. I don't know if it's because his movie star wife kicked him to the curb or because his band became irrellevaent 10 minutes into their career. It wouldn't surprise me if he attempted suicide in the next couple of years. He's definitely not a happy person. Lighten

For me Nothing But Love is the standout cut on 3 Pears. Three Pairs Of Glasses is pretty good too.
