QuoteRoughJusticeOnYa Last time I checked, band was quite alive - and (even) kicking... albeit in their 'latter days', clearly (a fact that obviously can't nor won't change). So I find this 'new guitarist! / new life!' stuff a bit over the top, if I may say so. Same goes for all the enthusiasm over Taylor's guitar playing these days; ànd all the hoopla about this CYHMK-video. Adequate v

Kleer - He made more than just Jagger & Me... listen to that LA crowd at the end!!!! just read a LA reporter's story, he said: this song blew the roof off Staples, and he saw grown men crying around him!!!!!! MLC

QuoteMr.D Who would be surprised on Saturday if MT is back to just playing on Midnight Rambler and Satisfaction? D - NO WAY!!! did you hear the crowd reaction at the end of CYHMK????? notice the smile on Keith's face, etc. This song will be a "regular" for the rest of the tour. Jagger's no dummy - when he has something working like that on a crowd, he's milk it for all it's worth!!!

QuoteDoxa "Can't You hear Me Knocking?" made me speechless yesterday, and I don't know if I can do any better now. Sometimes some things just hit so hard, that any attempt to "analysis" seems inappropriate. I talked something about it - or reflected it to band's over-all dynamics in Taylor's sticky thread - but that had nothing to do with the impact the performance in that lit

Quotertr ....but not a member of the band for almost 40 years. I much prefer the band live with the focus on Keith and Ronnie where it belongs, not on a guest "soloist". I'm flying to Chicago to catch the Stones for about the 30th time and really hope I don't have to sit through 4 songs with M.T. in the spotlight. Hey - RTR - do us all a favor and don't go see the show, Taylor's playi

Only the fools are bashing Ronnie and saying he shouldn't be playing along with Taylor. And this is from the biggest Taylorite on this board. Three guitar attack!!! everyone get's a fair share of leads - let it rip!!!! MLC

Agree with all the comments on Satisfaction, Taylor's playing very subdued, not wanting to overshadow Ron/Keith - but that "3rd" guitar sure as hell helps this song so much more than the version I saw opening night at Staples/LA.. Can't wait to see where they "add" his guitar to more numbers!!! MLC

QuoteVT22 Quote71Tele QuoteVT22 QuoteSundanceKid Quotestupidguy2 Agree. Why the snipping from all these naysayers. MT seems to having a blast, feeling appreciated etc... It's silly to expect him to sit in on the entire show. Jeez people. This is epic and some of you are nitpicking. Plus, touring at that level is tough, physically grueling and the Stones are used to it. MT has been playing s

The WEAK LINK in their sound is Keith and Ronnie. I love the quote in the article "its a shame they are going out this way". Quotevermontoffender And it becomes more and more obvious that so very many people on this board aren't Stones fans, but Taylor fans instead. Go listen to some Jazz/Blues fusion crap. Go plunk down some bucks for a Taylor solo show and pray he actually shows up. Leave the Rock and Roll to Jagger, Richards, Watts, and Wood: The Rolling Stones. Hey Ver - Guess you didn't hear, Mick Taylor was

Quotebv If you need an "extra fix" like Mick Taylor on every song or smoking a joint or drinking tons of beer in order to enjoy the Stones then it is time to look into the mirror and see who is there... A guy looking for lost memories or a guy who still have plans for the future. Enjoy the shows! Hey BV - it wasn't us who went on TV (Jimmie Fallon) and stated Taylor would be included

QuoteGravityBoy MT could do some of Keiths solos. Keith is strugglin to do them. Gravity - Sorry - don't agree - I thought Keith played pretty good at Staples!! and I've been hard on him the last few years, liked him better than Ronnie, and I thought Ronnie has been better the last few times I've seen them live in Video's - Superbowl, etc. MLC

No complaints from me for what I spent to get in at Staples. Only problem I had was the Taylor - one number... and the warhorses at the end (JJF, Satisfaction) other than that - Stones show well worth $100 - don't know if I would go any higher than that, but probably would, if i had just hit the Lottery.... What's all this crap about Taylor being drunk or not in good health... BS - Taylor has changed, over the years, he likes to have fun now, hence the dancing, his playing wasn't sloppy to me, I'm just hoping it early in the tour and as they continue, he get's more time... let's hope!!!! MLC

OK - time for me to wade in... I went to opening night, 1st time since 1975 great vibe in the building, all the beautiful people of LA were there... For one I was impressed with Keith, haven't heard him play like this in a while, Ronnie was solid, as was the whole band! I, like all the other Taylorites was expecting more after what Keith stated on the Jimmie Fallon show and hearing he did

Quotewandlimb I scored some $85 tickets. I have to get there early to miss rush hour traffic, because I'm driving down from the high desert, and will be at Staples Center about 4 p.m. I'm a single woman alone and will be in the center of LA... Any suggestions for parking and a place to hang out until the Will Call opens? Does anyone know how early I can park in the Staples Center parking lot?
