Quotehbwriter outside that telling, split second '73 cut in the blue jumpsuit - have we not seen every second thus far? That ´72 clip (San Diego?) of Mick entering the stage seemed new to me as well...

QuoteErik_Snow Does this DAC feature that recording, or did they use the old TMOQ recording? JEMS recording. Tweaked with excessive EQ as usual... The info on the "Collectors Music Reviews" site which states this is the TMOQ source is false (which doesn´t surprise me...). Quotedcba So acc. to you Erik, DAC should have used the JEMS/Mike Millard tape and "punch in" the m

Quoteandrewm I think you're talking about the version in CS Blues. I love that bit, if it's the one you're referring to. The audio of the @#$%& Blues version is actually this Houston 06/25 1st performance. The footage is from San Francisco 06/06 1st. Same for the Happy and (probably) the Brown Sugar live clips in CS Blues: audio from Houston 06/25 1st, video from Los Angeles 06/11 2nd.

A full 1975 set from the multitracks, one of my Holy Grails! This is going to put the 1975 tour bashers to shame... I´ve only listened to the samples so far but it seems like everything is from the 13th, it seems like they even kept that glorius trainwreck version of Happy. Hopefully, they left Mick´s in between song talk ("I think I´m gonna to take a sh*t now" intact as well.

MSG 28/11/69 (1st) My all time favorite, very similar to Altamont but it includes I´m Free (which is cut here unfortunately): great tempo and a killer Keith guitar solo...

EVERY version of Sympathy at MSG'75 was the same trainwreck because Mick was all over the place with his vocals. Sounds to me like they either didn't rehearse it properly or he couldn't hear the rest of the band because of the steel drums. The performance was completely re-arranged for the LA gigs and Sympathy sounded much better at the Forum.

I´ve always thought Perth was a sluggish, uninspired and lackluster performance. Sloppy, but not in a "good" way. And Gimme Shelter from this show is arguably the biggest trainwreck of the entire Taylor era. Sydney 02/26 on the other hand is a fantastic show. Thight, aggressive and inspired playing full of energy from start to finish.

Many thanks for sharing, this is an amazing find. The video quality is very good and it looks very similar to the Detroit 1969 footage. Too bad it´s only two short clips.

QuoteMathijs QuoteMathijs Well. How on gods earth is it possible that you ad your mate Kleermaker keep ranting on and on and on about how Taylor is god and Wood the biggest failure ever, while you don't even have two of the most important Stones shows in your collection?? How dare you say anything about Wood if you haven't even listened to Some Girls, one of the most widely spread bootlegs? Ham

Quotestonesseventytwo hmmmm...if it is only a slight improvement on the 4 Reels version, that would be a disappointment. All the boots to date of this movie have been pretty bad. I must have seen 6 or 7 over the years. Was hoping for more from the "official release" It´s a no brainer, really. Get rid of the boots and get the official disc, whether it´s the BluRay or the DVD. I got the BluRay today and I love it! Of course the video quality is far from excellent by modern standards but considering the source material, which was allegedly in very bad shape when Eagle Rock acquired it, this is probably the best they could do. Also, you have to consider that L&G was filmed in 16mm, i.e. far from a "high definition" video format. Still, the video quality

QuoteUrbanSteel The big difference between the 1972 early 1973 and the late 1973 tour is Nicky Hopkins 1972 early 1973 and Billy Preston late 1973 . I go for the Nicky part . Very good point. Nicky was a very important part of the band´s live sound and one of the many reasons why I prefer the 1972 tour over Europe 1973 by a country mile. Personally, I can´t stand Billy Preston. His pla

I noticed this as well. Both tracks are running way too fast (3-4%), probably because of NTSC -> PAL conversion which is also the reason why most L&G bootleg versions out there are too fast. I hope the final release will be running at the correct speed/pitch.

Great research, Harold. Are you still planning to update your STP pages? I´m really looking forward to the "complete" 150min Stones In Exile. From what I´ve seen so far, it seems there are many previously unseen ´72 concert footage snippets in the movie. Hopefully, the forthcoming Stones In Exile and L&G releases will also include previously unreleased Ft.Worth/Houston ext

QuoteRight Shoe Shuffle Carol - performed on the 28/11 1st show without the vocal overdub. Thanks to Vancouver for help with uploading the file Thanks so much for sharing, for years I always wanted to her the original version and I never knew it was actually officially released. Great performance, I don´t know why he thought he needed to do vocal overdubs.
