What I am impressed with is how much fun Taylor looks like he is having , especially when he does his bit of prancing around the stage. He has never done this at any show of his own I have seen and stood still for years with the Stones. And OMG during CYHMK we actually saw the Rolling Stones as a guitar driven group again. LOL and it looked a little tough on Mick to even put his ego into the back

I have been to theater shows, and actually up front for the Enmore and the Astoria during Licks, and have to say IMO, being at the rail this tour in the pit for the London shows blew those all away. If you get the chance and don't do it, let your friends line up and kick your butt all the way home from the show. The only thing that was better (is Linda lurking here to confirm?) was to be up fro

Besides what I posted before, I forgot Beast and I had drinks with Bobby Keys one night until a younger female came by and took the bar count from 3 to 4. Quick as a heart beat we lost his attention without so much as "later." no "bros before ho's" sentiment there! My sister and I had breakfast at the table next to Blondie in Shanghai when he decided for some reason to sh

I have been lucky enough to meet Bernard many times, Lisa a few, Tim Reis ( even have pictures of us drinking together) , and have been mistaken by Blondie in Milan for someoen else which led to an interesting conversation ) As for the big 4 I have actually met Ronnie several times, but to be honest most were very momentary encounters, an art gallery showing in Saint Petersburg of his works,

Preach brother Paul. I to get tired of hearng. Lennon's "genius is pain, " and the crap about the Beatles bleeding for us, or Townsend whining about fame hurting so much, and on and on. These people CHOOSE to be stars, they desperately laid seige to castle fame, got there, slammed the doors shut and cry to the rest of us how hard it is. Really? Do your own taxes. Make your own airline r

AEG has done the impossible and made us all miss Micheal Cohl. This flex pricing/. discounting is there Karma for the way that they did the bait and switch for the Hyde Park shows, selling Gold and Diamond Circles and delivering the wretched Tier 1 Tier 2 product.

One of her greatest achievements was keeping John alive for us until the nut case gunned him down. Without Yoko to distract, amuse, ground him, we would probably talk about John the way we do Jimi and Janis. John met her because she was already famous in her own right Not Beatles famous, but she had her own buzz going. In the 90's, I forget exactly who the idiot host was, but she gained m

At the O2 shows, there was a seperate line at the entrance for the pit. As you entered the main arena area you got the wristband, then it was a sprint up the escalator, into the arena proper, down a flight of stairs to the floor and across the length of the floor. Beast and I sat at a table having drinks not far from the arena entrance. About 30 minutes before the show the line started to grow an

Looking at all the rehearsed material, it's weird for me to realize that the only song worked on so far that I have NOT heard live is Moonlight Mile. So I understand when someone says things appear uninspired. And yet there are people like my brother heading to Chicago who haven't see the Stones in 30 years, or my two friends in Guam timing their Vegas vacation to catch the Stones , who may not e

You are correct that there will be a small section in front of the stage that can be accessed by those with General Admission Tier 3 tickets. This will be the same as any other gig and will be available to anyone that arrives early enough and can run fast enough and are prepared to remain in that spot throughout the day. Wow , is it possible AEG or the Stones or Whoever has seen the light th

I understand tier 1 and 2 have a separate entrance. I get that supposedly we can get out of our pen, wonder around and come back, though I cannot find where that is confirmed. But now somewhere in all of this I have read, I think, a hint that we will have earlier access to that FOS area? How? Don't all gates open at the same time? Now if that is true, and nothing else works, then Tier 1 and 2

@mattleeuk and I will be looking for you bank card in hand since nothing else has worked, I hope you have one of those handy things on your smart phone that lets me just swipe right there. This whole thing has really put me off about taking anymore time off for this "tour" . Not that at $1000000 a piece per show, Mick, Keith, Ronnie or Charlie give a damn what I do. IN watching

OMG Marquee, has AEG offered you an executive position yet? They should , you appear to have more common sense than most of their current administrators. Like the other poster, I am confused as to what I actually am getting for my money now. As it has been for more than 35 years, my primary concern in the beginning was where I would be in relationship to the stage at the start of the show. I h

I am working 25 hours of overtime this week to help pay for my Stones trip. I live in New Zealand now. Asking for vacation time is something you do with my new company 6 weeks in advance. So all of this waiting to the last minute to announce forces decisions to be made in a hurry. Not that my friends and I didn't talk about all of the possibilities over and over We are not interested in wine, din

Well I hope you are right BV, that plays well into my schedule and my finances. May 2 is a wee bit early for my work schedule. But all this NOT KNOWING sparking Paulywaul's editorial wit is worth all the angst. Reminds me why the guy is such joy to know. Keep posting Paul, no one has polished the finr art of talking about nothing better than you

I keep reading about gae, Mick, ridiculous VS pushing the envelope , and on and on. These men are Entertainers, it what they do for a living and the life they chose, they love the adoration of the crowds. In one way or another it will continue as long as we do. Turn the lights in the other direction. Who at a some 1975 show could ever have imagined 50 and 60 year olds at the rail at a Stone's con

So it means OT at work, savings at home, and taking no annual leave until then. But what the Hell, there is little left but the stories..."In "78 in Cleveland yada yada Then in Sydney at the Enmore..." Thanks for the information.

Here in NZ at the local stores it has been in the top 10 until very recently and is still in the top 20. I think that is pretty gopod for a 50 year old group that has had one CD of new material in this millenium, and only 4 since 1989, almost 25 years.

Well I saw two in London, LOL, and Obviously Paul I have to hire you as my travel agent, because I spent 80% of what you did on those two. Of course tickets from NZ to the UK at last minute didn't help. I would rate the second London Show over the first based on Jeff Beck being too over the top for me and the seconds night's Gimme Shelter so out showing the first's I'm happy that you both had th

ROLLING HANSIE I have been using Debut video software for years and have found that it has captured any and all streaming video that I have tried it on. It is from a company called NCH that offerds many useful tools and there is a free trial period that is decent. The program is really easy to understand and use. It certainly works better for instance for instnace than skype as marketed to record

I used Yahoo in New Zealand, ran it thru a laptop on to a large flat screen and was stunned at the clarity. Only had one balckout of maybe 3 seconds, so minor not even sure where it was. Rceorded it all with Debut Video software, a very handy downlaodable program. So ow the whole thing is stored in HD on a hard drive, 2 GB. Well worth the $21 I paid.
