QuoteJustin that has to be one of Keith's best solos on Sympathy since 89. Very impressed at how he sounded in these videos.....FAR superior to 2005-2007....and frankly maybe his best playing since BTB tour

Quotestonesnow Quotehbwriter you guys really don't like aerosmith? seriously? i mean, i'm a dolls freak - i don't like american idol or burger king commercials - but get your wings? draw the line? toys? rocks? - you really dismiss 40 years of this band because of those things? Never really a fan. The song Dream On was OK to listen to on the radio back in the day, and their cover of Come Togethe

two songs written from the same mold (same chords, similar structure, slide guitar etc.) both have a solid Keith riff/rhythm personally i prefer Mick Taylors, Charlies, and Bill's efforts on Silver Train...the song just swings and chugs along picking up momentum along the way I feel Siler Train is one of the Stones most underrated tunes...

Quote71Tele Quoteultimaterocker unfortunate this had to turn into Taylor vs. Wood Well, '71 vs. '78 usually ends up there. True, but I find this is more a song that showcases the band as a whole, especially Watts and Wyman, as opposed to the lead guitarist like say Love in Vain

QuoteMathijs Quote71Tele Sorry to revive the Taylor/Wood thing, but the comparison between these two versions puts to lie to the Woodites' contention that Taylor was all about soloing. Keith plays ALL the solos on the Leeds version, and the two guitars chug along together on this like nobody's business, driving the song FAR better than in '78 in my opinion, the same way they do on the two Berry c

Quote71Tele As good as it is, it doesn't hold a candle to the Leeds version on the B-side of Brown Sugar, particularly the guitars, the intro, and Stu's boogie-woogie piano. IMO ....the coked-out energy that the Stones had on the 78 tour was the perfect edge for covering Chuck...never better

QuoteWeLoveYou Tyler and the guitarist sometimes sing into one mic. They're definately Stones clones. Didn't Mick once say of Tyler in the seventies "Who is this guy trying to be me?!!" So Steven Tyler and Joe Perry singing into the same mic makes them "Stones clones" okay..
