Quotealimente The reason was that the original release sold app. 900 to 1000 copies in the UK in the first couple of weeks after release - and most likely not too many more afterwards. Quotestonehearted And the reason for that was that they had oversaturated their market for live material. The 'No Security' album seems not to be very popular. At Amazon Germany the 'No Security' al

Quoteflacnvinyl Itunes just plays mp3s. Uuhh? The songs in the iTunes store are in AAC format with 256 kbps (this is better than a MP3 with 320 kbps). iTunes itself can play AAC, MP3, ALAC Apple Lossless (e. g. in HD quality 88.2 kHz/24bit), AIFF as well as WAV (see Wikipedia).

Quotelettingitbleed I saw that yesterday...ah, the cash grab. I suppose for a young fan first getting into them, downloading all their albums at once ($240) could be nice. It certainly would have saved me some time back when. Or if you want to make a special single album 'The Rolling Stones 50' with all songs official released from 1963-2013 for your Smartphone or Tablet and for less m

Quotestonehearted Okay, thanks! It's always fun to read the comments under the titles as well. Unfortunately, the article in the german Edition of the 'Rolling Stone' consists of scanned images - with copyable text would be a translation hardly a problem .....

Quotegotdablouse Wow ! Best quality pics of the "50th & Counting" tour so far? My impression too. Is it straight from the camera or is it edited? Edit: It's a Getty Image. Maybe it is edited. Unfortunately there are no EXIF data, would be interested in the camera type - maybe a very expensive Nikon DSLR which is not allowed for us normal fans to bring in .....

Quotesonomastone which would you prefer to see 1st: The Rolling Stones continue touring arenas throughout world. They should play in Europe next spring if they played more US-shows in the autumn this year or vice versa. 2nd: Then release a new Stones album in 2014. 3rd: After that maybe the X-pensive Winos tour of clubs with Keith's solo album (with MT, Charlie, Ronnie guesting)

No, Nada, Niente, Non, Nein. We can be very happy if they still play Europe, South America, Japan and Australia after the current US-shows and until the end of the next year. Maybe still some more US-dates (middle/southern). After that I think there will be no 'World Tour' anymore in the old style like 1994 - 2007. Mick, Keef & Co. are more or less in their 70's. See BV's comment :

QuoteBowieStone Is there a reason they dropped a song? Did they start late? A pity they dropped a song from the most intresting part of the show. They want to adjust their setlist to the festival format for Hyde Park - there are then only 19 songs and will probably be all warhorses ......

I've found a comment about the list above in this old IORR-Thread : Quotelatvianinexile It is not just a plain list in the German 'Rolling Stone'. The author has a description or some writing about every song (16 pages total). Wolfgang Doebeling is a music journalist and Stones fan and has been writing about our most favorite band for a few decades. It is of course a personal list, noth

Quotebv They will never stop touring. But they will take more breaks, lomnger breaks, and less shows between the breaks. Comes with age. Not rocket science really. They used to do 100+ shows per tour. You can't do that with a bunch of grandchildren and lots of family activities. Also they need to do what any other person age 65++ do - some resting..... Yes - they will never stop touring

Based on the 100-Licks-List in the german 'Rolling Stone' (as described above) there was later a poll among the readers. Their ranking was published in the issue October 2005 of the german 'Rolling Stone': 1.   Sympathy For The Devil 2.   Gimme Shelter 3.   Jumpin' Jack Flash 4.   Wild Horses 5.   Honky Tonk Woman 6.   Brown Sugar 7.   Satisfaction 8.

Fortunately the Stones-songs are not named in german The texts below the titles are more or less comments to the songs and their history, no justification for the ranking. For those who are nevertheless interested in the texts, the Google translator may help. It was only intended as a comparison to the Special Collector's Edition. I could imagine that there are differences in the ranking

In the german Edition of the 'Rolling Stone' there was already in August 2005 a Top-100-List by Wolfgang Doebeling. Click on the picture to see the article directly (Adobe Flash required):

QuoteNICOS A break for 3 months and then Mick, Keith and Charlie will talk if it's fun to take another tour Europe etc. A break of 3 months could mean that there is either a tour in Europe in the autumn (then mid Oct. to mid Dec.) or a second leg of the tour in the US, but not both. Maybe more US-dates in the next spring and afterward going into the studio to finish the new album .....

My guess too - a european leg of the tour 2013 in the autumn (mid Sept. to mid Nov. ?), then in the winter a 'mini-tour' in South America, afterwards a brief visit to Japan & Australia (altogether from mid Jan. to mid March). Further US-dates (Middle/Southern) either from mid Nov. to mid Dec. or in the next spring (depends on the demand). Maybe they will start to work on a new album while tou
