"Those four postponed shows Lady Gaga announced earlier this week won’t offer enough time for her to recover from her hip injury. Instead, the singer has canceled the rest of her Born This Way Ball tour, with refunds available for tickets to the scuttled performances, Live Nation has announced. 'After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been de

From the IORR Editor: This is an example of an intolerant and racist hostile post that I do NOT want to see on IORR. First of all it is in disrespect of the artist Rihanna. Secondly it is a way of saying "I or we" are better than "you and others". I do NOT want that kind of campaigns on IORR. Rihanna like many other artists is hard working and deserve all the respect she ca

The Bonnaroo Festival in June has released this clue as to their headliner... RUN, RUN LIKE THE WIND ON THE NORTH WIDE PLAINS WHERE THE BIG STONES ROLL Excerpt from a news story about this... Others believe that there is no way that it is NOT The Rolling Stones because of the line "WHERE THE BIG STONES ROLL." However, a majority of Facebook commenters believe that the

Quotetreaclefingers All I can think is crap...now she's going to be relegated to wearing platform NIKE's like Mick. I'm not sure they'll go all that well with her meat dress. thank you so much for raising this important issue everybody talks about the meat dress and everybody conveniently forgets about the meat shoes this historical distortion must be corrected!

I listen to anything new they put out until I burn out on it. In the case of A Bigger Bang, that was 18 months of it being my favorite record. In the case of the Shine a Light movie and the Biggest Bang DVD, about six times each. In the case of Doom and Gloom, I still play the vid for friends who haven't seen it, I really like the vid, but for strictly musical reasons, never. Otherwise

she definitely dances in high heels during her own shows, all the female pop stars do. but not that height of platform. even her fans were taken aback when they saw that on the PPV but i'm not discounting any other possibility. to first have an injury, whenever she got it, and then take steroid shots or whatever to "play through it" like they do in the WWE and the NFL etc

1) She said she was hiding a show injury. How exactly the "inflamed joints" relate to this injury is TBD. 2) Its an important point that she does not dance in shoes like those during her own shows. She'll wear shoes like that for photo ops, but not on stage. So she may have well been over-reaching at the PPV.

Quotewith sssoul It looked to me like she was already in pain at the PPV - that moment when the Mick was like propping her up didn't look like merely a loss of balance, and it didn't look unexpected either. I mean: The Mick was showing no surprise, as if he'd been forewarned she might need some physical support. I'm pretty sure she was doing a pre-planned staged James Brown-type "c

UPDATED PAGE 2 Lady GaGa has announced the postponement of four dates on her 'Born This Way Ball' tour. The 26-year-old 'Marry the Night' singer took to Twitter today (February 12) citing a case of synovitis - inflammation of the joints - as the cause for the cancellation of her two shows in Chicago, as well as her gigs in Detroit and Hamilton. GaGa wrote: "Im so sorry. I ba

Quotelatebloomer To me, the highlights were Jack White and the two tributes to Bob Marley and Levon Helm. Just watched Jack White this minute. Usually I'm not quite impressed by Jack White, its like despite all his talent he just misses for me... But not on this show, he nailed it! And he puts together not one, but two amazing bands. For this one occassion? Or does he regularly use bot

Watching the show for the first time right now... Very good, very entertaining, even the performers I will never listen to, like for example Kelly Clarkson. She comes out with just three musicians and quite credibly honors both Patty Page and Carole King. Immense talent around these days, whether or not you like their distinctly non-rebel style... Obviously the clear highlight so far

Quotetomcasagranda I happen, in this instance, to believe that Mick is furious on a confidentiality basis. A book from Prince Rupert is tantamount to formally inviting tax authorities to scrutinise the Stones' financial affairs just a little more closely. I would also feel that Keith, though non-domiciled, would also be irate in that even less sheckles could be going into the pot as a result

Quoteexhpart Quotesuperrevvy Yes, I do think Keith is an embarassment to the Rolling Stones at this point But, to be fair, so is Jagger. He's essentially as inactive as Keith. Maybe that's Mick's plan: Put forth about the same effort and energy as Keith. Until everybody is forced to face the truth. Strikes me Mick Ronnie and Charlie with his ABC band have all stayed pretty active in 20

I believe the Michael in this excerpt is Cohl. I wonder how many "official" tshirts are not actually official at all. Hard to tell from this excerpt what particular lyric is being referenced. Maybe that garbled part on Star Star? Yeah, I'll make bets that you're gonna get John Wayne before he dies. "Within the contract with Atlantic I had inserted a clause which said that if the company objected to a lyric, or to cover artwork, and if we were unable to resolve the issue, I had the right to g

"Jann Wenner wanted to start up a magazine to be called Rolling Stone, and had invited Mick and, in so far as the other Rolling Stones counted, the other band members to buy 49 percent of the shares. Mick could not raise the money required, which was 5000 pounds. He asked me if Leopold Joseph would lend the money to him. But my partners were not prepared to give an overdraft to M

From the book, Rupert talking to Mick, immediately after Hyde Park "I asked if he thought he could put the crowd into action in the way that Hitler had done. 'Yes, to get the crowd to pull something down would probably take about twenty minutes, but to get them to build something would take much longer, say an hour.' "

QuoteBliss Quotesuperrevvy If you believe either that Keith has a finer mind than Mick, or that Rupert believes that Keith has a finer mind than Mick, then you truly will believe anything. Being described in an insider's book as having an inferior mind to Keith's cannot have made Mick's day. I personally guarantee that Mick approved that line. He probably even suggested it. Its funny, it

I'm sure many of the social anecdotes are true and amusing The insider stuff is fiction, and approved by Mick. The description of Mick as "furious" is just to help sales. If you believe either that Keith has a finer mind than Mick, or that Rupert believes that Keith has a finer mind than Mick, then you truly will believe anything.

Believe it or not, album sales are making a comeback in the US 18 months ago you could have gotten a top ten album with weekly sales of just 10,000 units (like tom waits did). Now it takes 30,000. 18 months ago, Grrrr would have been a top ten album, instead of only making it to #26 kids have finally figured out that it makes more sense to download katy perry's entire album for 10
