Is it just the six of them? None of the usual suspects on back-up? That would be wonderful!

Great release! It has Bill playing bass, it's historically important as Stu's last show with the band, guitars high up in the mix – what is there not to like? So, does this complete the official bootleg downloads or will they do more?

They should play the shows with the same line-up they had at the Trabendo. No horns, no Bernard/Lisa/Blondie. Of course it would be nice to have Bill play bass again (especially since they hyped up his possible return in "Rolling Stone" magazine), but it's probably not gonna happen outside of a guest spot. And I've given up hope that they'll ever play with Ian MacLagan instead of Chuc

Dirty Beaches. Best new artist in a long time. Karen Elson. Jack White's ex-wife. Check her album "The Ghost Who Walks". Charlotte Gainsbourg. Daughter of Serge. Made one album with her father as a teen and has developed into a great artist of her own standing. Not a bad actress either ;-)

Re the videos: They sound great. It's wonderful to see and hear them without BlondieBernardLisaBobbyHorns! If only they did the London and New York shows like this. Just 6 guys making a big noise. Great, just great!

I think it was an insult to Little Walter that the Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Fame inducted him as a "sideman". He recorded over 100 sides for Chess as a bandleader. He was a great songwriter, singer and arranger. Of course he was also a great harmonica player, but his harmonica playing as a sideman on other people's records was definitely not his greatest achievement. He was perhaps the m

QuoteBluerangerI respect Dylan for his will to create new music. That I don't think he has made outstanding music in a long time, is another matter. (...) I was wondering why Dylan can release 8-9 compilations in 10 years time and no one complains about it. When the Stones release one, they are being critisied from the word go. Something tells me Dylan is Holy and just can't do anyth

QuoteMrMonte sad to say, but speculation is less fun given that they're already chosen. Nothing we say or do will influence the choices for the releases. Given that, it seems to me that the only era not covered so far is the Brian Jones era, so I'd love to see one representing those days. Then I think they'd want something later than 1990; but given that that was the template for the past twe

QuoteCocaine Eyes On Twitter this week, they were asking us which concert we'd like to have released next. So, I said Toronto El Mocambo, 1977. So................. Yeah, good one! Also consider: Brian Jones era show 1969/70 Leeds 1971 New York City or Philadelphia 1972 Paris 1976 Anything with Bill on bass, really.

Quotemarcovandereijk Rome 19 june 1984 is available in soundboard quality: deposit files You need to be careful with the Rome soundboard – most circulating copies run way too fast. And Mick Taylor's guitar is very low in the mix. The best audience recording of the 1984 tour is the Barcelona one. Great performance and setlist, too. Taylor's playing on the entire tour is phenomenal. I hig

QuoteStonesTod glad u enjoyed. but for many of us longtime dylan fanatics, the live act has worn out its welcome. one of the great things about dylan through the years was his restlessness and desire to reinvent himself (both on stage and in the studio). unfortunately, somewhere along the way, that desire left him and we're left watching essentially the same act ad nauseum. it's hard to fathom wh

If you heard those DJ remarks on Clear Channel stations exclusively, then it's even more obvious that the band have apparently struck a deal with Clear Channel/Live Nation to promote and set up a tour. In that case the remarks about Jagger are carefully scripted advertising copy and part of the campaign to promote the tour. I think that both the Maroon 5 and Kesha songs that mention Mick Jagge

Quoteswiss I heard this same thing maybe 6 times in 2 days. Do you think it's an attempt at "viral" promo, on Clear Channel franchise stations? A ramp-up for next year? Or total coincidence? - swiss I work in advertising. This is the way it's done these days. Definitely part of a marketing campaign, no coincidence.
