To me this whole Taylor-gate starts to sound one more disgusting feature this damn doomed COUNTING celebration tour seem to be made of. It is even more uglier than what happened with Bill Wyman. They tried to do the same humilatio Forum: Tell Me

The liner notes are on the LP sleeve (illustrated by Ronnie) and list who plays what and sings where (including Rod, Mick, Keith, and Mr. Taylor). Mick gets an "inspiration by" credit for "I Can Feel the Fire" just as Ronnie did on "It's Only Rock 'n' Roll" the same year. Pretty sure the Warner Archive CD reproduces the sleeve. I can safely say that the world's youngest "I Can Feel the Fire" fan is my 3-year-old son. I accidently left the CD in my player and any time the thing is powered up you get Ronnie's masterpiece blasting. The only one complaining is my wife. But she hasn't bothered to take the thing out and toss it in the fire, so maybe she secretly likes it, too. Forum: Tell Me
Is Rod Stewart on "If you've Got to make a fool out of somebody"? Of course it doesn't even credit Jagger on "Fire" or "Am I Groovin You".
I bought the LP for $2.98 in 1997, at Half Price Books, according to the price tag. Now I'm trying to pack it up to move once again. This one is a keeper. Forum: Tell Me

Yes. The news will be coming. That is for sure!
Unless it includes key terms such as "Austin", "New Album", "Free Show" and "Wyman", I fear I might be at least somewhat disappointed. Forum: Tell Me
Thanks, I'll give them a close listen. Nice excuse to put on some headphones.
I've always been curious as to where I can hear Bill and Brian as well. And then of course Charlie(!) is credited on Babylon.
Live, the only time I've personally witnessed Ron singing was on Starfu**er in 1997 (couldn't hear him though). Forum: Tell Me
Ron is audible on backup vocals on "I'm Gonna Drive". I can't think of another example offhand, except for the infamous unreleased "You Got it Made", also from the great Voodoo sessions. I like his rough vocs, and he is underutilized, IMHO, for that purpose and of course for his songwriting talent.
I can't even think of any other Stones song where he is distinctly audible Forum: Tell Me

What stuff does one only take to stop the bleeding?
I know of some stuff that is used (rarely) as a vasoconstrictor and more commonly as a recreational stimulant. But Keith doesn't do that stuff recreationally anymore, right, so that leaves the other option.
He's being truthful and laying it all out there for people to see, and I believe him. Forum: Tell Me
I admit, the thought has crossed my mind. My son is almost 4 and it may be his only chance to ever see the Stones. But this thread brought me back to reality. He might never see them (and I might never again if they don't add a Texas date!).
Oh well. Look how much money I saved! Forum: Tell Me
I was on the fence (with Keith's troubles in recent years, and all), but I think I've decided to come back home to Keith's camp now. Thanks.
Edit, so I don't come off as a complete ass: I do have that album, but I was never crazy about the production. I'll give it another listen. Forum: Tell Me

That explains everything. Keith hasn't been the same since that thing left him.
On second thought, it could be his liver trying to escape. Forum: Tell Me
I didn't even realize I had it, but I do, but I certainly don't remember listening to it. Really cheap looking packaging. That being said, it was an interesting tour and the set list looks good.
The album seems more like an afterthought and not really Stones canon, but I guess it is, though. It's an official live album just like Ya Ya's, after all. I bet it has fewer overdubs. Forum: Tell Me

I was intrigued by that part until I saw the video and realized the article was wrong. It should be "no less than six hours".
