QuoteDoxa "Can't You hear Me Knocking?" made me speechless yesterday, and I don't know if I can do any better now. Sometimes some things just hit so hard, that any attempt to "analysis" seems inappropriate. I talked something about it - or reflected it to band's over-all dynamics in Taylor's sticky thread - but that had nothing to do with the impact the performance in that lit

I will get my Hyde Park on 13/7 - can see: Friday 12th July sees Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park celebrate a great evening of British songwriters as three of the country’s finest take to The Great Oak Stage. Grammy Award-winning legend Elton John and his Band will headline the day, with legendary former-Kinks frontman, Ray Davies and the outstanding Elvis Costello and the

QuoteBustedButton If MJ cuts off MT again on his Sway solo, I will be VERY VERY ANGRY with him..... Jagger probably doesn't like to do these songs b/c jagger sounds horrible on them. Mick Taylor SOUNDS AMAZING... let him play... They sold a lot of tickets with the promise of hearing Mick Taylor, keep it up, but do not cut him off It is like crashing a plane that's about to take off - Taylor wa

Quotepmk251 CYHMK: Anyone who has followed Taylor's career knows his solo here is something he has played for years during his shows. This performance is very much Taylor bringing his club act to the Stones' stage (Whew!) with Jagger being a cheerleader! Nice to see the band venture off its comfort zone. That was fun and vibrant. It is the difference between performing music and playing it.

Even back it up about 20 seconds before that. Mick tries to get Ronnie to maybe cue MT to wrap up, but Ronnie keeps m

Quoteandrewt Quotetreaclefingers Quoteandrewt Quotesabata Sway Jagger needs to belt this one out more I feel. The song also just kinda....ends without ever really taking off. Not as mind blowing as CYHMK but it's Sway with Mick Taylor so bonus points right there. (Woody's solo ain't half bad either) Respectfully disagree...both Mick's were excellent on this one. Fair enough. I guess I'm w

QuoteGumbootCloggeroo QuotePhillyFAN Quotemtaylor Go out and for Sway, then we might have 3'rd Taylor song Many people feel that line could be construed as racist. Especially Lisa Fischer. Not sure how wanting to get f-ucked all night can be considered racist. What's wrong with having sex? Explain, explain - what is racism here? Asking people to vote for Sway.

It's like that: Beatles, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Oasis, CCR, Beach Boys etc. - big egos have a hard time together, they want to be in charge. A few them can work together like AC/DC. The problem between Mick & Keith is just one out of many, most of them wouldn't be (somehow) together after 50 years, be happy Stones still manage going on a tour .....

QuoteErik_Snow They should have had a different voting on rs.com: "which 2 guitarists would you like to see on stage tonight?" And the one who didn't get enough votes became just a guest artist on 1-2 songs. Could had been interesting Imagine - Keith voted out for just two songs, Mick J would be smiling all over announcing: Keith our third guitarist tonight.

Quotebonddm If they do Sway without Taylor, it will be proof positive that they have totally lost the plot! That's what we need to prove - have Sway as the elected song and then see, if Taylor joins them onstage!!

QuoteHalup At the rehearsals in April, one of the Stones security guys was talking to fans outside and was repeating the rumor of September shows in the US, hitting the South. Since then, Washington, DC was added and it was described as the final date of the North American tour, so maybe their plans have changed. Perhaps AEG isn't excited enough by the ticket sales on this leg to go forward? The

Quoterollingon Quoteandrewt Quoteroby SFTD... 3:26, Keith tries an approach... No, thanks guy. Wow. I am stunned how neutered SFTD is. The solo is down to a few notes over four bars or so. As an end to the main set it is shocking how little energy the performance has, as if they just wanted to get it over with. I haven't seen any really good and inspired performance of STFD since 70s, ba
