Quoteflacnvinyl The problem with the Verve is that nothing they ever produced was of the caliber of Bittersweet Symphony. They should have worked something out quietly rather than making a fuss over everything. BUT... again, they never ever ever ever produced a single song anywhere near Bittersweet Symphony. It is their best work, and is really just a loop of a melody of a Symphonic version

There really isn't that much in the way of Beatle-esque stuff on it, it's more in line with Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. A shared "Dolls house darkness" feeling. Close listening to the outtakes of She's A Rainbow reveal that along with Mick, Paul McCartney plays percussion on it.

QuoteStonesTod i concur. but, try as i may, i was never able to make it all the way thru all of the 8 discs of studio instrumental outs. there is a limit this stuff.... Hmm, how about 7 discs? The last disc is from 1968, as are the Child Of The Moon outtakes.

Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine had a run in with ABKCO... The most notable thing about the rerelease of 1992: The Love Album is the inclusion of single After The Watershed. It was originally omitted from record due to legal complications following the release of the song as a single. The Rolling Stones’ lawyers sued Carter over the use of the words “Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday” in its

Quoterootsman The short Time Trip Vol. 4 version indeed seems to be a true outtake. Different bass, slightly different slide, possibly slightly different acoustic; same vocals, though. Everything on the Time Trip - Volume 4 version is different from released version. Much like the Take 1 Dear Doctor which also appears on Time Trip - Volume 4, it sounds like a live take really, no o

QuoteDoxa QuoteRedhotcarpet I knew the answers on my post when I posted it. And I knew who would react in what way. . Some people are very predictable, a bit like a Vegas Stones show... - Doxa Redhotcaret was being predictable with his Brian writing the melody post.

Quoterootsman I think the "outtake" version is the basic track, to which percussion and a new bass was added - also remixed. After the 2.22 point, there is no percussion and the bass (to my ears) is different - so not the official version spliced in... Ah, your post has reminded me that we've been over this before. Up to 2.22 is the same as the version I posted, a true outtak

That's the quote, thanks Rockman! QuoteRedhotcarpet So Brian could have written the melody on slide if you read what Keith and Mick say about Brians contribution. If Keith had the chords and mumbled something before Mick wrote the lyrics, Brian possibly wrote the melody when he added that slide. And Mick sang his lyrics to Brians slide. The meldoy sounds like it's written on slide, it fits th

Quotestonehearted Brian's last memorable contribution as a Rolling Stone, and after all the many exotic instrumental experiments over the years it was finally back to what he originally distinguished himself on when the band was starting out--slide guitar.... The outtake is only available in incomplete form, it fades out on all known bootlegs, to cover this some have added on the officially

QuoteRODAXE Not its not. You can see in RSG October 1966 5th photo, here's a guitar behind Keith. It's the same guitar he often uses to play Lady Jane. And their attires are different from the ones used in RSG May 1966 appearance These are from rehearsals for May 1966 RSG... ... and show filming. October rehearsals ... and show filming.

There weren't any singles drawn from Their Satanic Majesties Request in UK. In the UK atleast those abum track promos were to promote the album. Were they shown in the USA as promotions for the 2000 Light Years From Home/She's A Rainbow single there? Some of the photos you use for October 1966 RSG are from the earlier show in May.
