For $85 you get in the door...pick up your random ticket and move on. People pay more than $85 to see a hockey game in the standing sections. Bigger things to worry about than feeling ripped off on an $85 ticket. You go into the show, buy a shirt, a drink, find your seat and hopefully you leave with a good memory.

If you are not in the first few rows of center floor you feel excluded. He does not acknowledge the audiences on the sides,side-stage,rear seating or people on the far left or right. I saw him in April and while the playing was very good, his lack of gratitude towards a paying audience left a bad taste.

Looks like an over-flashed cellphone picture. My opinion is that while his crew was getting the umbrella stobes in a better position, he was told to "wrap it up".

If I was in the artist shoes, I would use the promoter logic that fans would have a knee-jerk reaction and not care about the price because the dates were quickly approaching. Snooze or loose. Fans finally wised up and hopefully this will in the long run stop promoters from offering silly guarantees to heritage acts.

Not a very good photo. Wondering if they only gave Terry 3 minutes of camera time to execute the shot. A photographer can plan all he wants in his/her mind to end up with a handlers tap on the shoulder after 7 frames taken to "wrap it up" while they pretend to be talking to someone important on their cell phone.

Why would the band have to take a paycut? So, if the buildings are half-full, the band does not care. The schmucks offered them an amount that is really hard to cover. AEG took this on as bragging rights and can probably be written off on their taxes as a loss.

The video above is something that will never happen again on the Vegas strip. The 2 hr video is worth your time to see how you put together a show that satisfies all audiences.

30+ years later, a Journey reunion could outsell a Rolling Stones stadium show in North America. Ask any promoter who they would put their money on.

Quotebleedingman What exactly is the extra $63 fee for? I can live with $5 or maybe $10 but $63 EACH TICKET? For what? It's for being able to stay at home or work to buy tickets. The technology is painfully expensive + credit card fees, etc. $63 is way too expensive, but most of that is promoter profit since big bands these days get 100% of the gate.

After hearing that train wreck Gwen Stefani, I would be happy to hear Michael Winslow (the black guy from the Police Academy movies) make noises for 7 minutes.

On a positive note, this should set a warning to major promoters to stop making silly offers. The public is no longer interested in their dick waving contest.
