Maybe The Stones can't return to their glory days, but with Mick Taylor they can make great music in 2013. I think that contributes to good mood making.

That's a good comment on mixing music styles. In this case I like it a lot, it definately rocked harder than usual. The same could be said when AC/DC did Rock Me Baby, the energy was great. Thinking back on the SNL performance of iorr with Grohl I must say I enjoyed that version more than any Stones version, since maybe the 70's.

Chuck Berry and The Rolling Stones together, yes please! Maybe Little Richard or Jerry Lee Lewis too?

One more thing, it would be creative to add some extras, like some true stereo tracks.

Is there a "quality" difference between black and transparent vinyl? If the 2002 source is the same where's the benefit?

Yes. And I agree with the idea of "all" Stones playing on it, as mentioned by NedKelly above.

I thought Clapton was excellent last year at the O2. However, not all guests are impressive. Then again that's a matter of taste. Another explanation might be they're letting their favorite artists play onstage with them, as a sort of homage. Just a thought.

Maybe there isn't 'tons" but I believe there's a lot. My thought is their families will release this stuff periodically after they pass away. Kind of similar to Hendrix and others, except there will be a lot more interesting things and not re-issued over and over, again like Hendrix. This will keep the legacy alive and cash flowing long after most of us have joined the great gig in the sky.

That's cool of Gene and Paul in my opinion. Shows they still dig Rock and Roll.

...And they're willing to offer us an official Hampton '81 box. Now there's an example of generosity.

Wow, very impressive setlist list. Don't think he's ever introduced that many changes all at once. Plus there's Junior's Farm and Hi, Hi, Hi. Hope there will be more Euro dates coming up so I can see him.

I want more Mick Taylor! Come on guys (Stones) blast us off the side of the planet while you're still able to! You're all playing well enough to accomplish this. Please take us to the brink. Let's Rock And Roll, that's what we want Don't you?

Just went speeding through all the gig threads looking for information about Mick Taylor involvement when I finally arrived at the sad news of again only Midnight Rambler. Yes, Emotional Rescue and Factory Girl are great surprises but I might trade them for more Mick Taylor. Hopefully this will change with future gigs.

They'll give away tickets to avoid having empty seats. How many though? I wouldn't think too many.

I don't think so. But I believe things will be different compared to past activity. Maybe the future will be mini tours and occasional new music. If these are both done properly it should be excellent in my opinion.

I've always had a difficult time accepting Elvis because of his actions against John Lennon. Plus he wasn't a composer or musician, to my knowledge. But he was the first (or near first) and I respect great songs like Hound Dog and Jail House Rock. But for me Chuck Berry is The King.

Would love to hear a new Stones album with Bill and Mick Taylor on it. If they concentrate on music and not on current trends I believe they could make an increbible record. Anything is possible.

Cool, thanks for the information. Guess I didn't read everything inside the boxset. That's a nice bonus.

It's possible. I do have one with Chuck Leavells name on it. He tossed it to me in 2006 at Horsens Denmark.

Of course it's speculation but I don't see The Stones playing to small audiences. Only on special occasions. My thought is their legend is big enough to attract large crowds, even into their 90s, or dare I say farther?. Same goes for Paul McCartney at least, maybe some of the other dinosaurs as well. Myself, I plan on going as long as I'm alive and healthy. Hope my hearing holds up, already have

Mick Taylor f*#k yeah!!! If it's anything like Midnight Rambler last year we will take a trip up to heaven. CYHMK and TWFNO on the same night?

Yoko, perhaps the most misunderstood and/or hated woman in the history of popular music. Honestly I don't know what to feel for her. John loved her, that must count for something.

There is Rock and Roll on 78s. At least Chuck Berry and the other famous guys from the 1950s. The Beatles definately made 78s in India, I had one in my hands. Couldn't afford it though. Have fun with your piece of history.
