Very sad day indeed. I've seen him perform several times over the years in various incarnations including last Sept. in Atlantic Cit with Robbie Krieger. Met him in the casino the next day and he let us take a photo of him with of my friends. RIP Ray, say hello to Mr. Mojo Risin for me.

They are not enemies and on stage they get along just fine. Outside of work, who cares? They do come together for important things such has paying for Hubert Sumlin's funeral. Much too much is made of their relationship.

Ya Ya's for sure. A great, late era, single song performance is Paradiso '95 - Gimme Shelter.

Quote24FPS We won't really understand how good it was until we have a DVD in our hands and can hear for ourselves what Taylor still has. I'm dying to see/hear the recording of Love in Vain from Echoplex. Most important number of the tour thus far IMO.

I didn't like the ending. Not sure where they want us to believe it was going. I was hoping he'd at least meet up with a few musicians at the party and leave us to wonder if they'd found success. The girl in the story was inconsequential to me. Didn't matter if he ended up with her or not.

Quoteduffydawg GYYO. Not even close. The SFTD solos between KR and then MT is generally considered one the best exchanges of solos in Rock History. Frankly one of the highlights of live music. Hell yes. Couldn't agree more. That being said, the RnR Circus version is pretty damn cool and a highlight from the Brian era.

Quotebigbitch it's Soooo affected..."Beast of Baden"...just kinda strange... Kinda funny, I thought the same thing. I don't have any professional training singing, but I know some people who have and a lot of the time, to sing certain words at volume, they need to change their pronunciation for it to sound right. For instance, the Brian Adams song "Run to You", if sung "

Quoteandrewt Quotestonesdan60 QuoteMunichhilton Thank you for your input Dan. I think I can deconstruct your claim with this... The Stones were a recipe for a dish you absolutely loved. Mick has switched out the salt and sugar. You are proposing we continue to eat what used to be our favorite dish with a smile...even though it tastes like crap... Bring back the original recipe Dan, brin

Quotesonomastone Quoteseitan QuoteMunichhilton Quotetriceratops I could easily see Mick upholding the Stones legacy by touring with Waddy, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Ronnie, Darryl Jones, Chuck Leavell and some others. And producing a good Stones sound and atmosphere. Any of the guitar guys could play bass so you can leave out Darryl if you want to save money. First tour destination would be Japan

Quotehbwriter Quoteandrewt Quotehbwriter Quotekowalski Keith on Sympathy tonight does anyone just watch the show anymore? geez.... Brutal, isn't it? It looks from this shot that no-one there is giving a rats ass about the music. it is beyond laughable - recording something they'll probably never even look at - missing the "moment" - ignoring the essence - a joke I disagree,

Quotemickschix Out of tune, really? Were you actually at the show? When I saw them on Dec 8 in Brooklyn they were absolutely jaw-dropping great! F'n A right! You can't judge sound from a You tube video. If it sounds good, the shooter got lucky.

Quoteswiss Sononastone -- where were you? Sounds like we were close to each other? were you on the Keith side or the backup singers side? As for lackluster energy....I turned around at one point to see how things looked -- and spotted this gloomy trio -- so just for the feck of it I turned around when Tom Waits walked out and this is how they looked - I thought it was hilarious! Yes, in fact with Google's new street view, you can actually (virtually) drive down the country lane to Redlands then "stand" at the end of the driveway and have a peek.I've done the same at Keith's Jamaican home as well.

We've all seen great footage over the years from inside the Stones private jet. I was wondering, at this stage in their careers, as they are crossing the US on this current tour, moving from city to city, will the Stones, their accompanying musicians and crew be traveling together on the same private jet? Or are they so fragmented that each of the principle members will have their own private jet
