QuoteGravityBoy Quoteflacnvinyl Quote68to72 Quoteflacnvinyl I always hate videos like this. Same with Brown Sugar from 71... Mick sings live to the studio track while the rest of the band is forced to mime. There is NO reason they couldn't do this live at the time. If the studio did not have the equipment to properly mic up everything, then go to one that does! I hear what you are saying, a

Steve Wright on Radio 2 said the other day that Charlie inadvertantly gave them a massive exclusive during his interview a couple of weeks ago. He told them that the Stones WERE playing Glastonbury, days before the official announcement. They wanted to announce it as an exclusive on Radio 2, but because no contracts had been signed they couldnt

QuoteMax'sKansasCity QuoteKentishMen I was in North Korea (or DPRK as they prefer to call it) the summer before last and it really is a bizarre and surreal place. I would be very interested in what you have to say about DPRK based on your first hand observations. I/we hear all sorts of things about him and the country, but long ago I lost faith in the media to tell me the truth about these thin

There is an episode of the 1970's (1971?) TV series 'Budgie' starring Adam Faith, that plays Brown Sugar as the background music in practically every scene.

Brilliant brilliant song. And THE song that got me in to The Stones 'cause it was played to death in my house, all those years ago, and I loved it. An absolute dance floor filler at my 'youth club' back in the 70's, and one of the few songs that me and my mates always used to (and were expected to) get up and dance to.

QuoteKoen Quote68to72 There is a video on Youtube of the ya yas SFTD solos titled 'Best Guitar solo ever' Damn, I thought it would have actual footage. But no, it is once again one of those "videos" where someone took some music, put completely irrevelant pitures on top of it, and then posted it on YouTube. Let us know if you ever come across the actual footage......I'd pay good m

There is a video on Youtube of the ya yas SFTD solos titled 'Best Guitar solo ever' Wether it is or it isnt is down to personal taste, but its had 3,400,000 views and caused plenty of arguments. My thoughts are that the Ya yas version of SFTD has to be one of the finest pieces of music ever recorded.

QuoteMonkeytonkman Last night was the first time I've ever sat through The Shits. Thats two and a half hours of my life I'm never getting back again \m/ You have my sympathy mate...... I have caught bits of it a couple of times, and it is generally shite. The most memorable good bits being The Faces getting a lifetime achievement award (I think) and playing with Bill Wyman on Bass,

QuoteMax'sKansasCity Awesome album. Courtney's band is really rocking here. I saw her and her awesome band on this tour, and they were awesome (Samantha Maloney YOU ROCK!!!). I guess I view this as another sliver in time band, 2-3 great albums and thne gone... like when Jefferson Starship was awesome for 2-3 albums. A sliver of time when it all came together for CL and with Billy Corgan doing som
