One of my all time favorites. It's one of those Rock'n Roll songs that are just perfect. Very surprised to see so many dislike it. Are those perhaps the very same people that think "Continental Drift" is the last great stones song?... 'cause that would explain A LOT.

QuoteUndercover1 Sorry if this has been brought up before..... Can someone tell me about this 12" I have been seeing on ebay from Slow to Speak. Is this different from the official released 12" version? Thanks Undecover1 It's a bootleg. It has the 10+ minute unfinished demo version of Too Much Blood.

Some of my 90's stones vinyl records had a sticker which stated "Made in Uk" on the cover. I remember Jump Back had those on both cover and labels.

I checked my copy of Big Hits. The label says Andrew's the producer. Strange... I could swear I read somewhere it was also self produced.

Those two were self produced by the Stones, at least Satanic was. I've always thought that was the reason why the label and catalog numbers were different.

Quotesuperrevvy suddenly lotza... but i'll only post this one video which, like a good many of her videos, actually somewhat detracts, or at least distracts, from the music. But on the plus side she was able to take reggae to number 12 on the charts recently with this song - no small feat - combining her one-girl girl-group thing with an up-to-the- minute caribbean vibe... Like so

QuoteMax'sKansasCity QuoteLeonidP QuoteMax'sKansasCity QuoteGlam Descendant It's amusing how folks that claim to dislike DW discuss it so compulsively.exactly and they do over and over in thread after thread about it. Ok, I give up. Still think WU is a good song. But one or two stupid lines don't ruin a whole song for me. Even Under The Radar has one: "I phoned your mother... she tried to date me".

Oh yeah, the little one is tough. But I'd choose the 12" every day, with the awesome remixes. There's also a US 12" radio station promo. It has an edited version both sides but the sonics are great. It'll tear your roof right off...

Quotewhitem8 But that is what you should have said, instead of claiming that we haven't listened to DW. When that disc came out, I was in College, and was so excited. I listened to it non stop for weeks. And I think partly to try to convince myself that indeed it was a great album. But time and again I left strangely unsatisfied. And then as the years rolled on, it become more clear just how bad

Instead you're just hangin' here discussing it to death how lame it is. This place is getting so corrupt. and what's the prob with corruption? it makes the world go 'round... It's true..

Wow, can't believe what I'm reading here. Is this really a Rolling Stones fan board??? Winning Ugly is not ugly, it's a good song. Welovetoplaytheblues and few others started this and it's becoming an obsession here. What have you guys so much against it really? It has a great groove and gorgeous Keith licks. And don't get me started on that bridge. I bet most of you haven't listened to it

No it wasn't. But they both appeared on a Decca compilation LP called "Saturday Club" in their original single mixes only few months later. They do sound great.

Any fans of "What A Blow"? It's actually one of my favorite tracks by anyone. I agree he has week vocals in general but on that one it somehow works. It has some kind of dreamy quality to it and it's nothing like I've ever heard. That song just hit me right from the start when I first heard it in 2006 and I still love it.

QuoteEdward Twining Quotetreaclefingers There seems to be a bit of a divide on this board as to where the Stones first big stumble came in the 80's, Dirty Work or Undercover. While I share the view that there was something askew in stones camp for the Undercover album, I believe this was their last, closest attempt at greatness and they have very nearly achieved it. Rolling Stone gave it 4.5 st

aaa thanks! This is a great interview. Saw it when I searched some old threads. Also remember an old comment about it from Stones-Relics where he said he knew a guy who knew a guy who knew a guy who had heard that version. The best modern blues track he claimed it to be.
